Hi Jamie! Absolutely love your channel! On my journey buying my first BTL . Following all your videos . I'm single mum of 3 kids on this journey. Thanks for your videos!
I actually can’t stop watching your videos! So glad you started this channel!! You/ your team targeted me well with your pre-roll youtube ads 😉 thank you for these gems of info. P.S. you really must have paid attention to maths class. No idea how you do all these sums in your head!! 😂
Great video Jamie. Despite the gurus telling us to stop trading our money for time, EVERYONE who became wealthy did so first by working hard and trading their time for money. The question of ‘net worth’ is another ego issue. To me (and naturally it’s an opinion,) it’s all about the income. I will eventually retire (whatever that is), but a massive flow of income is my preference
Hi Jamie, just came accross your vids recently, I’m based in Leeds / Scunthorpe myself! I appreciate the information you’re putting out and your take on active income vs passive being worth while aswell I think people forget that a lot of the time. I was wandering if you do any consulting or one to one chats regarding getting started onto buy to let’s. Thanks Mate.
As soon as you started ranting, I liked this video straight away. This made me chuckle. After watching the whole video, I was going to like anyways. Question regarding the latter of the video. 10 properties for 350k approx. Can you elaborate or point me in the right direction to learn?
Hi. Loved the video. I’m starting to learn about property investment. I am now in a journey to increase my earnings to start investing. What videos would you suggest? How do I actually start from 0? Thanks so much in advance
Upping income, diversifying how to grow wealth and time is my key strategies currently. Keeping it real too is important, reminding myself what is the end goal. Thanks for another good vid.
How old r u fella? As I can't get my head around how u have so much knowledge and experience. Fair play to you 👏 as you don't look that old. Keep it going as your channel is awesome 👌 I am just starting out in this realm and you are really helping. Many thanks 🤟
Hi Jamie.ove your channel. I nearly sold my house twice now. Had to pull out as we couldn't find property to buy. After finding your channel I realised I can keep my current house as buy to let and refinance it to get deposit for our next house. Thank you for everything you do. Can anyone tell me if I pay higher stamp duty on a property I buy next to live in or do I pay higher stamp duty tax on second property ie the hose I'm going to keep for buy to let purpose? Can't find this info anywhere
You pay higher stamp duty on the next house you buy regardless of whether it is for buy to let or to live in. If you however sell your current house and then buy a new one then I believe you pay normal stamp duty.
Hello Jamie, you've got nice content and have won a subscriber here. I presently live outside the UK, but I'm interested in sourcing UK properties even as a non-resident. Having schooled in Hendon London, and lived in Croydon CR0, Hermmersmith NW10 and Hounslow TW3 respectively, I have fair knowledge of those areas. I have attended property seminars, joined facebook property groups, and read books on some strategies in doing UK properties. I am looking for opportunity to be brought on board a team of sourcers. Atb, David
if it’s your first one just try the one, don’t go all out and overwhelm yourself. invest in one with a larger deposit save some for down the line if you want to invest in more.
Don't you have to already own a property before you can get a buy to let mortgage? I don't currently own a property and don't earn enough to buy one, but I have enough money for a buy to let deposit, which will leave a good LTV return.
Jamie how does someone go about booking some time with you to discuss investing in more detail 1-1 (if such a possibility exists) and how much does it cost?
Hi Jamie, Can I start by saying great info in the videos. I have 1 rental property with a lot of equity in and am ready to expand but have a couple of questions about how I should best move forward. Do you have any way I can DM you please. Best regards
That's how I grow my portfolio as well: passive income from my properties and active income by helping overseas investors with UK property! Thank you Jamie great suggestions!
@@JamieYork so £50k all in with a £12,500 refurb? What kind of net profit is that getting a month? Would £12.5k be enough to refurb to decent standard? Thank you
Asking your boss for money based on your bright idea's is completely pointless, they already know your worth to them and will only offer it when they face competition from another employer. If you want more money, hand them your notice explaining you have received a better offer from someone else. If you are worth more to them they will offer more to keep you if your are not they will let you move on.
sorry but for me you didn't really answer your question in your title. I feel like you've just said the most obvious things that even an idiot would know, save money, spend less, get another job. All of which are obvious and none of them answer your question directly. I thought you was more going to talk about the logistics of owning multiple properties and how the mortgage structure works. Not a good vid for me sorry.
No stress at all, thanks for the feedback on this one Jordan. It seems to have helped others but it won't ticket the box for everyone. I've covered what you've mentioned in other vids but I can put a more structured one together
@@JamieYork thanks for the reply Jamie, sorry if my comment came across rude. I’ll keep an eye on your channel and see if anything crops up that I’d like to watch. Best of luck
Hard to argue with that logic 😉💪 Only down side is the risk isn’t spread as much so 33% reliant on each. If it were only 3 retiring me. I’d probs go for 2 or your typed discussed and 4 more standard properties
Just to let you know someone has been impersonating you messaging me on what's app. I have the number still if you want to contact me and get it I have proof, just thought you should be aware as some people are vulnerable
It was on tinder I have reported it on tinder to. I caught them out by listening to a podcast you did where you said your age and they claimed to be 35 I did my research thankfully and knew something wasn't right. I've sent you the screenshot through Instagram
@@JamieYork only if you are an amateur do you say this. If you are a wealth creator then you know how to eliminate all risk. But that is next level stuff that will go over your head😂😂😂

Hi Jamie I became a BTL landlord in London by accident when after 12 years of owning my flat I bought a house, and moved without selling my old flat. Now I don’t think I’ll stop till I acquire about 2,3, or 4 more BTL. I may need to move further outside of London to do so thought, can’t afford the large deposit needed for London and the south east BTL properties. What’s your email address please ?
that whole doubling a penny every day for 30days analogy just blew my mind. i even got the calculator out. amazed 🤯
Love the fight club quote at 6:19. 'We spend money we don't have to buy things we don't need to impress we don't evn like.'

Good advice! One needs capital to make money. Spending less is deferred gratification - save now for a bigger treat years down the road.
You always deliver the best advice

I get that the property is passive but the money has to come from somewhere… often ACTIVE income!
Indeed! Net worth is based on money, wealth is based on time
Another great video Jamie - thanks, keep them coming...

Research "Compound interest" and apply it to everything that you do. You'll be a millionaire before your 30 easy!

I worry about upscaling and having many many mortgages. Even if the equity is healthy in each property, the thought of all those mortgages scare me.
It shouldn't do!
Jamie one thing I need to ask after watching a million of your videos.......where is that whiteboard from and what model???
Hahaha! it's a Samsung Flip
Quality over quantity I guess. Thank you for this video 👍👍👍

Great to hear!
Hi Jamie. I’m in York looking to get my 1st buy to let l. Cash ready. Would you buy out right or invest in several properties? Cheers buddy
if it’s your first one just try the one, don’t go all out and overwhelm yourself. invest in one with a larger deposit save some for down the line if you want to invest in more.
Don't buy out right! Leverage your money!
Don't you have to already own a property before you can get a buy to let mortgage? I don't currently own a property and don't earn enough to buy one, but I have enough money for a buy to let deposit, which will leave a good LTV return.
You need an income to get a btl, it’s a secondary source of repayment if you aren’t paid the rent (primary source)
hi what happens if I buy a normal mortgage but rent it out, will I get caught?
Probably not tbh. But all you need to do is ask for consent to let and most lender will okay it
Great information as always
Thanks!
Hi guys .has any one saw the new property app.where you can invest in property .bit like crown funding only slightly better ??
Let me know!
Superb vid Jamie
Thanks :)

Scaling is "feasible" in rising market but in a property market down turn I am not sure!
Defo in a down turn! Perfect time to buy
Hi, Jamie.
Does being an architect help property investing?
How can they integrate their careers into real estate?
Thanks!
I'm just a nobody with no experience but I'd have though an architect would be better building properties to sell, same with builders
I can help but not essential. Attitude is the most important!
The 1p doubling thing is actually £10.7 million by my calculations 🤯
Mind blowing!
Hi what position would you take if property was under water and can't Access finance due to begin non resident . thanks Paul
Can you stop the water?

375k for 10 properties? is that all in? so including the 3% stamp duty, legal fees and deposits?
Yesirrrrr! Remember that’s cash not the portfolio value. So 25% deposits etc
That’s what I do for clients up in Leeds 😊

As an employer myself, not all bosses wait AT ALL. If your bios is like that and you want someone with a more value focussed mindset. Change your boss
Ego-metrics!!!! Very well put!!! SOOO much ego in property! (Yawn!)
