Sellers money remain stuck for 30 days in case of delivered products(till your return period) and in case of product return, both money+inventory gets stucked for 45-90 days. (Return courier comes really slow than forward courier... It takes atleast 10-15 days to reach us since pickup from customer end.)
I really feel sorry for the sellers when costumers return products without genuine reasons. .. Amazon's loss is negligible as when compared to its earnings.
Returns are also painful for customers. Waste of time waiting for the product to arrival. When it comes to prepaid order money spent on product to reflect back takes time say 1-3 days sometime weeks

Loss is a part of business. Sellers charge delivering fee also. Most returns are due to poor quality. No person thought to value the customers even if they are connected to a seller for years. But, supermarkets give points for every purchase.
Being honest about the product in the product description and pictures about quality or color or anything that specify about product by the seller and shipping correct product to the customer then the customer returns will be reduced

Loss is when there is less profit margin. When you are shipping from warehouse/godown, with low expenses and 1 computer just to run the business, the profit margins are very high. Try to sell the same products in a "brick and mortar shop" you will realize the amount of invesment needed to just open a shop and run it without profit for months and months sometimes. Those days are gone when some kids used to misuse the ecommerce websites by fake ordering, etc. I dont think most people have time to do so at all, atleast i don't have. Eventually those kids also get bored. And people have freedom to return the product for provided reasons, that liberty is the only reason why ecommerce have sales, if any ecom remove the return option, trust me there will be 90% less sale. I stopped doing online payments as delivery boys are not bothered to deliver on address when the payment is already done. They know that we will come to pick up when they call at their convenient location. Do COD and they will deliver.
I ordered a Gaming Keyboard and Mouse combo, Pre Paid. Because of on going pandemic it took like a week to reach me and the whole time I was eagerly waiting. When I finally received the package, The packaging was terrible. But I don't care much about Boxes but the mouse that I received was clearly a used one. Seller probably snuck in a refurbished mouse, I don't know what he did with the new one that should've been in the box. This completely ruined my mood. Now i have to wait for at least about 2-3 more weeks to get a replacement.

You make a huge profit on each item. Always in profit. Defective product hoga ya details clearly mention nahi kiya hoga in site leads to incompatible product. These are two main reasons for return from costumer.
I also know some people who order things, example headphones. Take the delivery, replace the new headphones with his old headphones and file for return saying that seller has sent him old and damaged product.

I work for amazon. So when u fulfill and ship the items by yourself, you will have to bear the losses. When amazon fulfills the items, once the seller handsover the item to amazon, it's amazon headache. Choose wisely whether u want to ship or u prefer amazon to fulfil the items.
Make your own website and sell there itself. No need of paying Amazon category wise taxes on products. Only have to pay for courier service to the customer It will be difficult in initial stages by creating your site and promoting it but in the long run it can be beneficial.

Boycott local sellers they don't pay their helpers and accuse them of theft, amazon pays their delivery agents from underprivileged background always on time. Never buy from local thieves . Support amazon and Flipkart and support local poor hardworking delivery agents. Don't make these shopkeepers around you rich, if they become richer they'll compete with you in local market for real estate instead make amazon richer.
I ordered SONY's bluetooth speaker from Flipkart and it got me delivered in 2 days but seller sent me defective product. Then I checked that replace option was available, but now this time when I order replacement for the same, it took 23 days although I am living in Pune. Now I don't have a Flipkart app in my phone 🙂

The goods are collected from seller by the ecom people and taken to ecom warehouse where it is packed in ecom branded package. My question is, is there not a chance the material/goods are replaced/diluted/ on the way to Warehouse and the interior material/goods are being delivered to the customer finding which the cutomer returns the material/goods?

I can understand your pain as I myself was a seller of Amazon and Flipkart
But I can say Amazon (if the shipment is from Amazon) is much better than Flipkart at least on any dispute they pay you back
Being a watch dealer of Timex we had received empty boxes , old and broken watches , from customers returns
Luckily Amazon refunds back 60% of the product on such dispute

Being honest about the product in the product description and pictures about quality or color or anything that specify about product by the seller and shipping correct product to the customer then the customer returns will be reduced
I ORDERED WHEAT FLOUR. I RECEIVED A DAMAGED PACKET. NOW WHAT TO DO. WE HAVE TO RETURN IT OR WE NEED A REFUND.

Once I ordered a wallet from Amazon and I can see it is a used one. i returned it and ordered again, suprise! again a used wallet . 3rd time also same. 4th time also used wallet now i am thinking to return it or keep it because I can't do this forever

Loss is when there is less profit margin.
When you are shipping from warehouse/godown, with low expenses and 1 computer just to run the business, the profit margins are very high.
Try to sell the same products in a "brick and mortar shop" you will realize the amount of invesment needed to just open a shop and run it without profit for months and months sometimes.
Those days are gone when some kids used to misuse the ecommerce websites by fake ordering, etc. I dont think most people have time to do so at all, atleast i don't have. Eventually those kids also get bored.
And people have freedom to return the product for provided reasons, that liberty is the only reason why ecommerce have sales, if any ecom remove the return option, trust me there will be 90% less sale.

Amazon should change the delivery system (Delhivery)
I stopped doing online payments as delivery boys are not bothered to deliver on address when the payment is already done. They know that we will come to pick up when they call at their convenient location. Do COD and they will deliver.

I ordered a Gaming Keyboard and Mouse combo, Pre Paid. Because of on going pandemic it took like a week to reach me and the whole time I was eagerly waiting. When I finally received the package, The packaging was terrible. But I don't care much about Boxes but the mouse that I received was clearly a used one. Seller probably snuck in a refurbished mouse, I don't know what he did with the new one that should've been in the box. This completely ruined my mood. Now i have to wait for at least about 2-3 more weeks to get a replacement.
You should do tie up with Amazon delivery.
This is normal part of business. As your saving money for shop and other stuff.

I have ordered for strainer big from Amazon for 89 rupees, seller updated the order with invalid tracking details and changed the minimum order quantities to 4 and there is no option to raise a refund request now ☹️😢😥😟😞 and ordered 5kg pickles the seller sent me very very old full sour tasteless pickles and it causes me health disorder stomach pain stomach heating followed by Diarrhea

You make a huge profit on each item. Always in profit.
Defective product hoga ya details clearly mention nahi kiya hoga in site leads to incompatible product. These are two main reasons for return from costumer.
I also know some people who order things, example headphones. Take the delivery, replace the new headphones with his old headphones and file for return saying that seller has sent him old and damaged product.

I work for amazon. So when u fulfill and ship the items by yourself, you will have to bear the losses. When amazon fulfills the items, once the seller handsover the item to amazon, it's amazon headache. Choose wisely whether u want to ship or u prefer amazon to fulfil the items.

Make your own website and sell there itself. No need of paying Amazon category wise taxes on products. Only have to pay for courier service to the customer

Boycott local sellers they don't pay their helpers and accuse them of theft, amazon pays their delivery agents from underprivileged background always on time. Never buy from local thieves .
Support amazon and Flipkart and support local poor hardworking delivery agents. Don't make these shopkeepers around you rich, if they become richer they'll compete with you in local market for real estate instead make amazon richer.

I ordered SONY's bluetooth speaker from Flipkart and it got me delivered in 2 days but seller sent me defective product. Please tell me how do you supply material /goods to the Amazon/Flipcart or any other ecom sellers....in your packet, I suppose, becaue the customer gets in ecom branded packet delivered. The goods are collected from seller by the ecom people and taken to ecom warehouse where it is packed in ecom branded package.
My question is, is there not a chance the material/goods are replaced/diluted/ on the way to Warehouse and the interior material/goods are being delivered to the customer finding which the cutomer returns the material/goods?
