  • Overgrown lawn from last November (or should I say MOWVEMBER, AM I RIGHT? No? OK, never mind then) that finally made its way out of the editor. Full time version of this overgrown, tall grass, neglected, messy (trying to hit all the keywords) lawn, grass, yard, etc. You get the idea.

    20:19-21:13 Blowing Debris Round #2
    21:13-21:20 Missed Another Spot!
    21:20-22:57 Before/Afters
To answer a few questions that I KNOW will come up:
    - Why don't you mow in straight lines?
: I can't mow in straight, long strips. I have to cut the yard into sections to film it. UA-cam likes lots of changes in camera angles (and funny enough, so do people, even if you don't realize it!), so I mow a square, then move on the the next. Mow that one, rinse and repeat.
    - Why don't you bag the grass/mulch the clippings more? It looks terrible!
:We live in Florida. Heat, humidity, and sun break clippings down in a matter of days. Even this many. I don't bag because it isn't common (see previous sentence for explanation of why), I don't have a bagging system, don't have a local spot to dump, etc. Lots of business reasons why it would be a losing proposition for me to bag grass. (Just because they do it near you doesn't mean we do it down here.) I don't make multiple passes since that would add time and cost to the project which the client didn't want to pay.

Here’s a story about edging. When the house next door was for sale and the tenant vacated, I went over there an edged. It was overgrown similar to what’s on this video. I took the overgrowth and used it like sod in an area in my back yard that I was having a hard time getting seed to established. It worked and has been growing back there for about 3 years haha.

I am so happy that I found your channel BEFORE making my new flower beds in the back yard. I try to keep a neat yard but after watching your channel I will also try to make the hardscaping and landscaping service friendly. We have lived in our house 20 years and my poor backyard has been naked this entire time. Now that I am no longer raising children or working full time, I have the time to play and make plants grow.

It's 11am on a friday, and I'm just chillin here watching you mow lawns lol. It's great. I'm finally purchasing my first home and I'm just getting ideas for lawn maintenance. Not necessarily design ideas, but more ways to do it properly by watching you do it. Good times.

Back in the 60's when I was in high school, I did yard work for three or four homes. All I had was a power mower, hand trimmers and an edger - the old fashioned kind you had to step on. I think I got $10 per yard which I thought was a lot back then. I trimmed countless sidewalks on my hands and knees, not to mention around gardens, fences, trees, foundations and whatever else there was in the yard. One yard would sometimes take me 2 days to do. Life would have been much easier with the equipment you have to work with now.

Greeting from Mississippi. Our climate and cutting season is very similar to yours. I am purely small time when it comes to this business. It's my retirement job! I carry a 54" zero turn, a self propelled push mower, a string trimmer with multiple attachments, a blower and a sprayer with weed/grass/broad leaf killer in it and I work by myself. The more string trimming I have to do, the more the final price goes up. I hope you got paid well for that yard! You did a great job on it.

Go back and look at the footage of all this video and all your hard work to make it look AWESOME and BEAUTIFUL. Well done. No need for you
to look at lawn videos to get tips. If anything I believe others look at YOUR VIDEOS FOR TIPS. Like I said you do a GREAT JOB WELL DONE on all
your YOU TUBE videos you have ever posted. You have your own style on mowing lawns to the edging to the clean up. Personally I have and
still think you work really hard on ALL your lawns. At the end GREAT RESULTS. Pat yourself in the back and give yourself a high five. I found
your videos because I wanted tips on different things. Lawn pressure washing etc. Your videos helped me 10000000% and not only helped
me but do it the correct way. I really appreciate all your videos. So THANK YOU. Keep doing you job the way YOU do it. It’s your own style
and MASTER PIECE. If people thumb you up great if not great too. At the end of the day you should feel honestly rewarded......🌟🌟🌟✨

My county agent explained to me that most people make the mistake of preparing their soil level with the driveway, sidewalk, and curb with they plant grass, which then expands over the concrete. He told me people should prepare their soil 2" lower than the driveway, sidewalk, and curb, so that when the grass mass expands, it is level with the concrete.
