He said it was his medication prescribed by a doctor and he needed them. Dr. Nick even left for awhile because Elvis wouldn't stop getting pills sent in from other Doctors but once time in 74 or 75 I think it was Elvis overdosed and almost died so George Klein and Vernon mainly called Dr. Nick and begged him to come back because they were afraid Elvis was gonna die. So Dr. Nick agreed to come back and he admitted Elvis into the Hospital to get him cleaned up again. Even there a Dr. had sent pills for Elvis to the Hospital in Memphis and when Dr. Nick asked Elvis what they were, Elvis lied and said they were for his dad and it was nothing. Dr. Nick found out that wasn't true and had those pills destroyed. So after a couple weeks in the Hospital Dr. Nick again had Elvis on a stable prescription plan only taking medications he needed for Glaucoma, high blood pressure and few other ailments Elvis was suffering from including pain so he was still prescribed pain medication but it was a normal dosage that would be expected for any patient. Elvis also had a physician's medicine dictionary with all of the medications in it that he studied and he thought he knew what he was doing and because they were prescribed medication he didn't think they would hurt him. Dr. Nick is definitely not bad guy and it's a shame his life was ruined for publicity of a tv documentary from a low life reporter.
Elvis was brought up the old southern way and that included respect. I know I was brought up that you'd better say, "yes sir, Miss so and so, etc...or else you'd be getting the belt on your backside. I breaks my heart that Elvis ended up so lonely as he did so much for everyone. I wish they would have all came to Graceland and celebrated with Elvis. I know a lot has been said about Dr. Nick, but I think he was the best doctor Elvis has too. He tried, he tried to keep him off the drugs, he tried to find out what was wrong with him and his body as well with what medical knowledge they had at the time. But I know there will be some who won't agree, but this is just my own humble opinion. Great video Trey!
So interesting. Great video! Always good to hear from the people that were there! GK talked to Jerry Schilling a bit during this. Would be awesome to hear him if he spoke at this event.

E had many Dr's, Dr Elias Ghanem, Dr Max Shapiro, Dr Nick. E's Favorite Dr of choice was Dr Nick of course. E was gonna get what he wanted regardless of what any of these guys did. To blame Dr Nick for E's death is ridiculous, E died from his own choices and no one is to blame but E himself for his short life !!

I’m not so sure that Dr Nick was as innocent as they say. From what iv researched he was as bad as the rest. Even over prescribing to his own daughter, I think that tells a tale right there!!
Well I knew Dr.Nick and his family and friends and he was not the guy that you and the media knew..I've researched too man..but I also hung out with him. So you think all those people are liars? The media got it right and know more than all Elvis' family and friends... When Elvis' on family didn't blame Dr.Nick..what does that tell you? Dr.Nick was blamed because he was known as Elvis Presley's Doctor. Dr. Nick prescribed the medications that Elvis needed because of health problems. Elvis was a sick guy and like sick people..needed medications feel better. Elvis also had other doctors sending him medications...Dr.Nick os the Doctor the world knew..so he is the one blamed.. I'll always say what I believe by what Dr.Nick shared with me, and what some of Elvis' guys shared with me..Dr. Nick was not giving Elvis crap to make him happy..
@@GlobetrottingWithTrey just stating the facts bro. He didn’t loose his medical license for no reason? Would you agree? Or what’s your reason for this? I think Elvis was very much miss treated by all of his doctors including Dr Nick. Of course the family and friends wouldn’t blame him because he owed Elvis a shit load of money and they wouldn’t get that back if he was to go to jail. Sorry but I still believe he was as bad as the rest!!!
I believe dr.nick was a scapegoat and they had to do something after all the legal battle. It caused dr.nick all the money he had and left him without anything. Read his book, he shared a lot valuable information that may make you think more about dr.nick in a positive light. I can just tell you by visiting with him and hearing him talk about Elvis. He really cared for him and he blamed Elvis’ touring schedule in the 70s for his health issues. That’s what people don’t realize about Elvis. The guy was sick and had health problems that dr.nick was treating. Dr.Nick was writing prescription drugs for Elvis Presley because Elvis needed medication like any sick person today.
@@GlobetrottingWithTrey while we are on the subject Trey about people that hurt Elvis. Your opinion on Dr Nick makes no sense for reasons iv mentioned but besides that. I guess you think that Tom Parker was good for Elvis to do you?!! We all know that Elvis was sick and it was very sad to see him that way, but between the Drs that over prescribed him on uppers and downers we have is Manager holding him back and over working him. The whole crowed around Elvis Presley were a terrible combination. It’s no wonder he died the way he did. Sad lonely mistreated and over worked. I’m not arguing with you man and iv not called you a single name like you called me. I’d just love for people to be honest on these things instead of covering up the true facts. I appreciate you responding to me but bro keep it civil. I don’t insult you so don’t insult me. I’m an Elvis fan and I can see how badly he was treated. I just can’t believe that some people are so blind when it comes to the people that were meant to care for Elvis and protect him. They all let him down in the end. They were his friend when he was heathy and giving them everything but as soon as he was unable to do these things anymore they turned against him.
@@peter61967 agree with you- even if Elvis was sick, and needed pain pills, there is no way he needed that much- Elvis was overprescribed...most health care professionals agree....
I have a hard time listening to this fool. If he had been any kind of doctor at all, Elvis would still be here. How do you claim to be a doctor and let your patient get into the condition that Elvis was in? He was a legalized drug dealer and didn’t care nothing about Elvis other than what he could use him for and i think his incompetence is a large part of the reason that Elvis is not here 🤬🤬🤬
You don’t understand what it would be like to be the doctor to a guy who had many people shipping different medications to him. I personally knew Dr.Nick, other Memphis Mafia guys, and I believe what they have told me. The many stories.. I’m glad Dr.Nick didn’t quit because E would have died earlier in my opinion if half of it is true. Dr. Nick prescribed medications to Elvis because Elvis needed medications to help him with health issues. Dr.Nick was not just giving him medications! Rivera painted that picture and you and others have believed that for years. The media made Dr.Nick into what you believe today and it is not fair to George Nichopoulos. The guy was a caring person and I don’t believe for one second that he was pumping Elvis with pills to just make Elvis happy it for money. That does not line up with the person that I knew.
If dr nick Elvis would have never been in the condition he was in when he did. dr nick failed Elvis.. Elvis gave and gave and gave while people took and took and took.. Elvis was a GOD SENT TO EVERYONE AROUND HIM...
You only know what Geraldo Rivera painted to the world and that is why you believe Dr. Nick was a bad guy.. I knew Dr.Nick the person and other Memphis Mafia guys who actually were there with Elvis and know what they shared with me..

WHO KNOWS IF ELVIS WAS ALIVE TODAY HE MIGHT HAVE RUN FOR PRESADENT CAN YOU AMAGINE WHAT A DIFFERENCE HE WOULD HAVE MADE.WITH HIS LOVE FOR PEOPLE .
Another great video Trey! Thank you.
THANKS SO MUCH FOR WHAT YOU DO
I love Elvis
Um forte abraço aqui do Brasil!
That is so sad why didn't one of them ask Elvis back to their place for new years so sad bless Elvis
Amazing Trey! Thank you!!!
Elvis lo mas grande que a dado el planeta, soy fan numero 1 de Elvis, desde Republica Dominicana.
So interesting. Great video! Always good to hear from the people that were there! GK talked to Jerry Schilling a bit during this. Would be awesome to hear him if he spoke at this event.
Hi Steve, I agree 👍 xxx 💝

Excellent Video Sir. I Subbed ya Sir.
Thanks for subscribing! Make sure to go back and check all the shows I already have uploaded on Elvis..
Cool...never seen this one thanks
Love that Elvis was old fashioned. Gladys & Vernon did a great job bringing him up. Elvis seem to have had a big heart and a such a good soul. Amazing. Love Dr Nick. Thank you Trey.
Dr. Nick was so misaligned. Elvis would never allow the doc to suffer the way he did, if he were alive.
Merci pour la vidéo sur Elvis Presley j'ai beaucoup aimé car c'est vrai qu'il aimé avoir toujours du monde autour de lui merci pour la traduction française Pascale
People that like Elvis, but don't like Dr Nick have to understand, Elvis would have taken up for Dr Nick. Had he been alive.
Duh...ya think ?
Great video Trey 👍🏻😎
Самые интересные рассказы это воспоминания близких друзей Элвиса. Спасибо тебе. Хотелось бы послушать Чарли Ходжа.
Great video 👍
i noticed even brought his hangers on to their honeymoon
E had many Dr's, Dr Elias Ghanem, Dr Max Shapiro, Dr Nick. E's Favorite Dr of choice was Dr Nick of course. E was gonna get what he wanted regardless of what any of these guys did. To blame Dr Nick for E's death is ridiculous, E died from his own choices and no one is to blame but E himself for his short life !!
I agree with you..
Hi, cool
I’m not a hater and I’m no fool bro. I have been researching Elvis for the past 40 years. I read everything there is to read iv watched everything there is to watch.
Klein was the biggest liar after all
Dr Nick the face of evil. God has issued his judgement.
DrNick? Who lost the license for overprescribing? Riiiiiiight, bring him on to talk about his patient.
You only know what Geraldo Rivera painted to the world and that is why you believe Dr. Nick was a bad guy.. I knew Dr.Nick the person and other Memphis Mafia guys who actually were there with Elvis and know what they shared with me..It’s quite different than what Rivera reported to sell his story who was not there at any time with Elvis.
@@GlobetrottingWithTrey I agree Mr. Trey , Two sides to all stories and I believe in my heart Dr. Nick did what he knew medically and also as a man who loved Elvis ! We really do not know Elvis’s health ! Technology today would have been a different story too ! It’s just nice to hear as much as we can as Elvis Fans and highly appreciated you and your videos you share about Elvis and the places and friends .. ELVIS WORLD IS WHAT I LOVE TO KNOW ABOUT 🙌🏼❤️Thanks you you we can enjoy or be sad about it’s just the way life goes ! Very true dr nick got bad rap very unfair so do parker and red and sonny we were not there but they all love elvis elvis
I didn’t say he was a bad person and the records don’t lie
@@RiXFortuna the number of prescriptions that Dr. Nick wrote don't lie is write...Geraldo didn't write the Rx, but Dr. Nick did.....
