In this Amazon Music album spotlight, Gracie Abrams reflects on the process of writing and creating her debut album, Good Riddance. Gracie touches on the writing process for the album, how much had changed and shifted over the course of making it and the at times challenging and painful work that went into writing it. Gracie also reflects on her important bond with producer Aaron Dessner and work together creating the album, and how both Aaron and the environment of his studio helped foster a space for Gracie to open up to create. For Gracie, Good Riddance was a self-healing journey, and although it had its challenges, was ultimately a fun process and one that was incredibly fulfilling.

Thank you for demonstrating through this album what the stages of a breakup are like, when it was released I had finished and I didn't understand anything because everything was going too fast or too slow And I understood everything that was happening and that this was all just a phase and it was at that time that I found out who my favorite singer was.

I don’t know how, but this álbum managed to be comforting and painful at the same time to me. Sometimes I feel like I can relate to everything there, so it hurts to listen and also feels good to have someone organizing all Those feelings into beautiful tracks. There is some sweetness on that. Going from being so breakable on Fault Line to finding low key hope on The Blue, is such a delicate feeling. My fave album of 2023 so far.
