Check out our unboxing and review video of the Engwe T14 Mini Ebike! This thing is perfect for a last mile option. With a max load of 220lb this can handle a wide range of different sized riders. I could also see it being a great first ebike for kids with its small form factor. The fact that it's foldable makes it even more portable! I just got this bike two weeks ago and have been riding it into work every day. I'm 130bl and 5,10. The bike is surprisingly fast and powerful for a person of my size. I can easily power up very steep hills at a sold 15mph and 22mph on flat smooth ground. I have done a complete range test and got 32 miles on flat ground. I'm assuming a heavier rider will get around 23 miles. I only have to charge the bike once a week for my 6 mile work commute. The bike is built exceptionally well for the price with thick metal disk breaks and very solid metal frame and clips. Surprisingly there is almost no plastic on this bike which is great on things like the folding clips and hinges. It really feels better built than the $500 price would suggest. Overall I'm very pleased with the bike, the only *BIG* downside is the heavy weight. I live on a second floor and carrying almost 80bl up stairs with no handle is incredibly difficult.
Thanks for sharing and glad you like the bike!
did you unlock your bike to get 22 mph?
@@urbanaudiophile482 we didn’t need to unlock it.
@@urbanaudiophile482 they come with no restrictions. I'm in the UK and normally bikes sold here are restricted to 15mph but I'm getting over 20.
@@JudeTheUA-camPoopersubscribe yeah that’s tough. Glad you’re getting up to 20 though.
THANKS FOR SHARING!
... I'm a Truck Driver (Over The Road - OTR) I picked up the Engwe - T14 to carry in my truck and the folding advantage is WONDERFUL. When I'm layed over, or just waiting to load or Unload the T14 is Perfect. (Hey Drivers Try It) $499. Out The Door! "EBIKE MAGIC" 🤪
Glad you’re loving your T14! It’s perfect for what you mentioned. Just throw in your truck or car and cruise around and have some fun.
I have just got one that will be coming in the mail soon. Can't wait. Perfect for a mom and daughter (3). I will test how versatile this folding mini bike really is.
Excited for you! Let me know how you like it!
What’s your main purpose for it?
@@easyheimer run errands around town and the fact that I will be able to fold up and put in the trunk is huge plus for me.
@@luisav4684 that’s great. Please let me know how you like it?
i like this bike so much i recently purchase this bike and it get notice allot everyone would stop and look at it from all age groups so yea very attractive,
Pros: 1. It is super comfortable and very punchy this bike has the potential to be faster if not for speed regulations ( i wish i know how to remove that)
2. This bike goes over hill really well i never at one point ever needed to pedal
3. when fully charge i got really good range i notice that if google says 37 min to reach somewhere by bike i would be there in 27
Cons: 1. I have notice a issue and that is if your more than 55 kilo the rear shocks is soft and will lead to the chain hanging loose and then would comes off when pedaling even after sitting a readjusting chain it return the same it seem this bike would definitely need a stiffer tune (less comfort) or a rear derailleur. but still at 55 kilo chain was slipping
2. In a short time one of my pedals start making a loud popping noise which is better to change from those cheaper plastic which they tried saving weight and cost which leads to the next point
3. Its heavy also at my weight of 94 kilo its good to brake early before touching very steep inclines the front suspension will bottom out and that hits hard.
4. At my height of 181cm leg will hit the handle even at highest adjustment.
5. The pedals are only there for torque starting off to save battery and then speed assist kicks in and after its useless this is 99% for electric use only
Thank you so much for sharing! We appreciate it!
Nice overview Easyheimer!
However the 62 pound bike weight seems excessive for a tiny ebike. The Lectric XP 2.0 and the Gen3 Groove 20” folding fat ebikes weigh about 62 pounds each and this bikes size doesn’t justify the weight. It must have a steel frame. And while we’re talking steel frames, the Ancheer AN-EB5 and Jetson Bolt Pro are small and portable and only weigh 40 pounds each priced at $489. and $349. respectively.
In my honest opinion Engwe needs to go back to the drawing board with this one!
Thanks for the kind words! I do agree the weight is a bit much for something that’s supposed to be mini.
I do agree the weight is problematic as I have to carry it up to my second floor apartment. Although the weight does make the bike feel more grounded and bigger than it really is. The weight makes it feel like it floats over bumps rather than jumping. Also the bike is incredibly well built with almost no plastic to be found. I think the weight could work if they added a handle to help carry it up stairs.
@@joshgeurink2131 yeah there’s some positives and negatives to the weight. It’s a very well made bike.
Thr bolt pro is one of the best because it can be modded
The bolt pro can be modded to go speeds that rival a moped
I've got one of these and I'm not super impressed. There are some areas where you can see corners were cut for the low price. I'm 5'10, I've got the handlebars set at max height and my knees make contact with them while pedalling.
The headset on mine is quite loose despite tightening it up. I'm going to take it apart for a closer look tonight
That’s awesome. Glad you’re liking yours. You’re right, in order to keep the low price they needed to make some compromises but all in all it’s a great bike for the value!
If the rider is 100lb can it hold another 100lb passenger in the back seat?
Yes it can.
68 Lbs ?? Why is it so heavy? That's nearly the same weight as the MX02S I had (70 Lbs) which is a full blown 26 inch fat tire bike with nearly twice the capacity battery. Even the little Fiido L3 with its huge battery is only 54 Lbs. I don't understand it.
This thing is basically ALL metal. I was surprised with the weight as well but it’s really not too bad.
Can you know where I can get a replacement charger for this?
I’ll see if I can find one for you.
do you know how to turn off the speed limiter? mine only goes 15mph i hear people going even faster?
I’m not sure. Ours goes 20mph right out of the box without having to make any changes.
Check out the fiido L3 48v 23amp way Better.
I’ll check it out!
@@easyheimer It's the best fiido ebike ever.
@@justynssagan6156 interesting.
Let me tell you what I hate those damn twist throttle. About 15 minutes ago I was riding one handed and I lost control of the bike. so then I decided I was gonna walk the bike back well being that I had my hand on the twist throttle somehow someway my hand, twisted the throttle and threw the bike forward and it hit the ground brand new bike with a scuff mark on the brake handle
😂 what are you doing riding one handed?
@@easyheimer got over confident
@@Marlevlyn yeah it’s tough with these e-bikes especially twist throttle like you said.
@@easyheimer what’s crazy is I found a little cheap hack to put a gigantic zip tie over the twist throttle and just use it as a ledge if you will to push down on which would make it a makeshift thumb throttle. and I thought that was just gonna fly but I grabbed too much up towards the handle where the throttle is when it happened. I’m now on Amazon looking for thumb throttle to plug-in so I don’t twist anymore.
@@Marlevlynthat’s actually a really good idea. I’ll have to try that. Any specific zip ties?
Uhh, I can’t find a video on how to put it together 😭
It’s super easy. Let me see if I can find something for you.
please can i get a fairly used one still active as a growing young man to the office am back
Sure!
@@easyheimer how and please favoured price and good one and how do get it
Did you end up getting one?
hi what's your actual range on full electric mode? i'm interested in getting one thanks
Hey dude! Unfortunately I’m over the weight capacity for this bike so my numbers wouldn’t be reliable anyways. I’ve heard it’s very close to the advertised numbers though. I’m going to try and get my niece on it and see what range we get.
How much do you weigh?
75 kg. thank you i appreciate that
@@urbanaudiophile482 oh so you’re much lighter than me. You’d get a lot more range than I would.
My girlfriend is 470 pounds will she be able to ride this bike?
No sorry. She will be over the limit.
@@easyheimer ok thanks i will probably get 1 of the fat tire 1s for her
@@tictac9367 that might work out a little better.
You need a extra battery 🔋
I do?
Did you ride it before the review?
No. If you watched the video I let people know I’m over the weight limit for the bike. I did have someone ride it though that was a lot smaller than me so I know it works well and the numbers match up. More videos to come with people actually riding it.
🐍Chin camera was not the 👀best angle for this video.😵💫
It may have worked better on a short person or if you were strapped in an office chair, lol. 🖖🤙
LOL!!! Thank you for that. It was my first time trying it out. I’d imagine you’re talking about when I showed off the assembled bike? Was the unboxing ok with the chin mount?
@@easyheimer In my opinion using that camera angle for The unboxing was just fine. It helped you keep your hands free. But when it was done and you were outside it would’ve been nice for you to have a lower angle so we could see the bike in its finished State. I only know what the bike look like because of the thumbnail
@@joegarland2224 thanks Joe! I appreciate the feedback and it has been noted.
Hi, can you confirm the seatpost diameter?
I can get that info for you.
@@easyheimer That would be very much appreciated!
👍🏻
Anyone have a problem with the battery being very loose in the cradle?
Mine was pretty tight in there but I have read people having a loose battery.
@easyheimer I think a little bit of velcro will fix the problem, it's not too bad. Thanks for the reply!
@@johnners911 I’ll have to recommend that to people if they bring it up. Thank you and you’re welcome for the reply!
Please show how to fold the bike
We can make a video for that! Thanks for the request!
@@easyheimer that would be great!
👍🏻
please don't buy that is so bad !!! 1) so heavy
2 so slow,
go up on bridge you can forget to do that
3) im 74 kg and max speed is maybe 15 km
i off speed limited
Depress the right brake, turn the throttle at the same time as the key
Hold the lever and brake for about 25 seconds, turn off the bike Limited off but still is a shit ps.. no chains so abut use legs for get is so soft speed runs legs but you really not go .... is possible only whit engine no natural whit pedals
It’s not bad at all.
