Cataclysm DDA is an amazing zombie apocalypse simulator and a TRUE roguelike. It's the kind of game that is worth learning if you want to play something with deep, intricate systems and love the idea of building up a base / doom vehicle. Think Project Zomboid but with 10x the complexity. If spike pit traps work, you can save time and effort by just sticking spikes into the pits at construction sites. Just make sure you always have a quick exit route ready.
You can pull out car batteries, dissassemble them and load the acid into jars to throw as well. The fire and acid DOTs might help mitigate his regen. =\
He got pretty lucky when he activated the shotgun trap, I once had my run ended because of how the bleeding I got from it was arterial and I didn't have hemostatic powder, as arterial bleeding can't be staunched with bandages/pressure and you can't tourniquet your torso.
I hate to break it to you, but even that doesn't help. Opened a door, and immediately got shot in the chest by a turret. Bandaging, pressure, and hemostatic powder didn't stop the bleeding. I think you have to sew it up or cauterize it ?
@@mustardsouls1005 Your first aid skill might've been too low to stop the bleeding? Hemostatic powder is still pretty much the best non-tourniquet item for bleeding, and while it might not fully stop the bleeding it'll still reduce it to where you can then use other methods. It's not hard to level first aid due to medical books and practice crafting Also, I'm very sure they removed cauterizing in newer versions, and stitching was never an option either
