what is the ip rating of a spr rivet ? is it considered waterproof ?

The SPR rivet is made from Boron steel. The IP rating would more likely be for the enclosure/product that you are using the SPR rivets on/in. In automotive applications, the rivets and thickness of metal the rivet is being installed into are matched up so the rivet does not penetrate through the "backside" of the metal when being installed. So the only portion of the rivet that is exposed is the head of the rivet. Also in an automotive application, the rivet is painted over so it somewhat seals the head of the rivet to the panel it is being installed into.
