I personally think a game should be dropped if it is 100% unplayable on launch (looking at you Cyberpunk) as this is unacceptable for any consumer.

Not too long ago, I completed my blind run on Maximum Security with no upgrades and it was one of my most unique survival horror experiences ever. To survive the myriad difficult battles, you have to use all the mechanics that the game has. Particularly, the perfect dodge and the GRIP melee. I feel that this game was treated kind of unfairly by most people.
You deserve all the praise and credit in the world and should get a big check for this. Not only did you play this game which is a feat within itself , you played it on the hardest difficulty and no damage and all items ???? You deserve a diamond 💎 .

Doing another maximum security run since it’s been a while since I played this. Past few days I’ve been playing have been making me realize how much I enjoyed this game. Honestly, I enjoy not having the surplus of ammo I always have in dead space with only using guns. So starting a new save and having to really rely on your baton and having to conserve my ammo was refreshing. Dead space games and its remake still blow this game out of the water, but I really don’t think this is a bad game; it’s a blast. It’s just not as compelling as dead space. I’m gonna try a contagion playthrough, but I almost pulled my hair out while trying last time Lmao.
Excellent! A wonderful no damage playthrough. You did what I couldn't, and that was executing those perfect dodges, then performing a counterattack to every opponent from start to finish. You truly are a master at close quarters combat.
Well done! I just completed max security recently and it was challenging but manageable. The max velocity upgrade for the GRP made certain sections of the game way easier (together with upgraded energy shots).

It took me about a third of the game to realize I'm playing this game totally wrong. I was too reliant on Melee and guns. Once you mix the mechanics it becomes a really fun game. Just don't go Rambo like I was doing 😅
Thats exactly what I did too. I didn't purchase any Ammo. So if there was an area I could get through with mostly melee, I basically wouldn't shoot. So it made the game not feel that great. My next playthrough I'll purchase ammo like I'm playing deadspace and use my guns more

I like how youtube sends me to smaller channels so I can still see players with heart in gaming. Big channels always rushing thru content to just beat game to get it out. Then come out with negative reviews bashing games for being too short or easy. Well of course if you play on lower difficulties and blaze thru a game it’s gonna leave a stale taste in your mouth.
The hand Canon is very very good. Especially with the explosive rounds upgrade. In the final boss I basically brought a huge amount of hand Canon ammo so I can spam the secondary fire on him. I literally destroyed Final Boss in about 1 minute give or take.

4:37:41 this enemy death flabbergasted me a bit. I mean it could simply get on the ground again and continue attacking but instead dies. Defining this as an enemy death is probably the most sad thing in a game I've seen a long time.
Haven’t heard one of you guys in the comments say you finished and got the plat cause that second to last boss no matter how good you think you are at dodging. YOURE NOT! Yeah where are the “ thanks I got the achievement guys “ at? Crickets.
Do you get moments where you're dodging Cpt. Ferris and the dodge doesn't register randomly so he gets a free hit on you? That happens 100% of the time with me. It's such a bad problem that I just resort to hitting him with melee as soon as possible since he can't hyper armor through your melee, but it's still dependent on whether Jacob does the correct melee animation when he starts meleeing Ferris.
I figured out that issue. It’s related to minor framerate drops that start happening once you play for long enough. Just restart the game and load from that checkpoint and the dodge glitch will just magically be fixed. From my testing, I think it doesn’t seem to ever happen when you disable performance mode (I assume because it tries to render at 30fps).
@@Aether2125 I play with the performance mode on and even if I restart the checkpoint, this issue still happens. So you're saying that not playing in performance mode allows you to avoid this issue where the dodge doesn't register?

Despite the lack of polish and much attention to detail. This game still deserves a second chance. The theme might be similar to Dead Space but they are doing well enough to establish themselves as their own. Although the jumpscare is something they excel with, some may look goofy and some are just right.
Played thru this game at launch. Haven’t touched it since. Wayyyy too repetitive and one dimensional for me. Graphics and environments are beautiful tho! Nice no hit run ! Very impressive 😎

The combat is clunky but there are different options - I try to show a few in this run. It takes a few playthroughs to figure out good tactics to handle multiple enemies. Don’t expect the combat to be like Dead Space, the creators tried to do something unique here with a combination of melee, gunplay and the GRP. The problem of these reviews is that they’re trying to dodge/melee a group of enemies and the combat will definitely fall apart. The game gives you the tools you need to handle more than one enemy. A lot of the systems needed to be more polished and it’s easy to find weird bugs and issues, plus some optimization issues that bring the quality down.
I'm glad you shined a light on this. Alot of people complained about the combat and it's really just about actually using the mechanics the game provides. There aren't giant fans and spike walls around for no reason 😂 But when you baseball hit that guy out of the grp hold my jaw dropped. Like I've been doing it all wrong myself hahaha
I play with all damage on easy mode 😂 The slow-assed character beat me more than bosses. Lazy way to make bosses harder…turn the hero into a geriatric after one hit! Looks great though.
It’s very linear. It’s just a matter of figuring out when to melee/GRP/use your guns. Figuring out the best upgrade plans was another aspect of this run.

That would be an interesting challenge.
You have to tempt enemies one at a time to follow you without the others noticing. Or force them into single file - make sure no vents behind you.
