I know I'm late, but I've kept this tutorial on my "to do list" for a while, and finally had the chance to put it into practice. I had some leftover Milliput from another (long and boring) gap-filling job, and tried a few fur collars on some kitbashed mercenaries, made from a variety of kits from different producers: while it's not the most perfect mix for this job, the technique was incredibly rewarding and the results awesomely satisfying. Boy, I'm happy. Thank you so much!
Solid video, great technique. Been sculpting cloaks, badly. Just firing out a vid on it now. Moreso about how to practice on a budget rather than using a specific technique

Great video. I'm a sculptor and have been having friends ask me how to sculpt beards, specifically. Would you be willing to do a beard and facial hair video? During this isolation, I haven't been able to visit friends and teach, and it would be great to have a resource to point people towards for reference.

You tutorials are excellent. Do you have any tips for fur with a more subtle texture? I want to paint a pattern over the fur, and I think it will be difficult where the fur is more defined.
I would suggest doing all of the fur like I show in the very beginning. Ideally using an X-Acto blade. That will give you to most control and allow you to put the finest detail into the fur without having it be overly defined like you see at the end of the video.
I have a problem in sticking the green stuff to the steelwire armour of my mini-miniature (it's a 15mm one), it sticks to the tool (silicone or metal it's the same) and not to the armour. Do you have any tips?
You can try adding a little texture to the wire first. Although at 15mm there isn't much room for that. You should add some lubrication to your tools so that they are less sticky than the wire.
That's a great solution! If you haven't, definitely try going in after using the roller. You can make slight adjustments that disrupt the pattern that will give it a much more lively and unique look.

Amazing video as always! Any tip on how to make the needle tool?
Yes! My needle tool is made from a needle that I took off of a dress shirt. I put the needle in a tube and added a bunch of putty to hold it in place.

I CAN'T HELP IT! I decided long ago not to worry about innuendo. It just comes out to easily when sculpting miniatures. SEE!!!
