Very nice boots Major! I got those exact ones myself as well, and I've only had them for one winter but they worked incredibly well for me, if I just take a walk or do snow work, they do the job :) Sorel boots seem to be very underrated amongst young adults in their early twenties and teenagers, (not really sure why), I assume you belong in either category haha but I'd love to hear what you think of them once you get to try them during winter! I'm also a big fan on how they look. They are definitely bulky, but it didn't feel like too much of an issue for me atleast. What do you think, is walking easy in them etc? Also props for doing a proper inspection on your boots, you really care about quality, nice to see that!
Thanks! Walking with them was fine but the real test will be during the winter months. The reason why I think it's not as popular in teens and young adults is because Sorel had a negative reputation during the 2000s where the ownership of the company was changed and manufacturing practices were not preserved. However, sources have said that the current owners fixed the issues and the recent boots are now similar to the original Sorels
You absolutely must make an update video! One thing I have not yet tried to do with Sorels is cycling with them. I really do not want to get specific shoes or boots just to cycle in winter, so I'm wondering whetever they are too bulky for standard cycling (just to school or work, not more than that). Did they get hot indoors? I'm wondering whetever it might be too much to wear those boots at school, even if it's super cold outside. What do you think? Would be cool in my opinion at least :d EDIT: Yeah they changed the manufacturing country from Canada so there was a fear that they wouldn't be as good. But regardless, even nowadays they are quite uncommon to see among people in their early 20's for example.
@Maxarmor They do seem bulky for cycling although I have not tested riding with them. I prefer shoes that offer more agility for cycling just so that I could perform life-saving maneuvers much faster. Right now, I'm still using non-insulated shoes because I'm trying to guage what temperature will make my feet feel cold outdoors. I'll make sure to include indoor comfort in the next video. Thanks!
@@major3041 At some point in the upcoming winter I'll probably try to cycle a short distance with them. I don't want to get winter cycling shoes separately from Sorels, even though they would be better for maneuvers I agree, so we'll see how it goes. Enjoy your new boots Major! They do look very good on you!
