You based out of Greenpoint, BK? I love the Edelkrone brand and mentality. What head were you using for the Slider One?
I'm in Brooklyn! amzn.to/2a104su
+Wedding Film School I'd love to see you two collab one day 😇
Nicely done dude! Cool vid as usual. One of these day we should collabo as New Yorkers.
I have both, sliderone is less smooth, in wedding dj play music loud, it cause some vibration on floor, the sliderone will pick up those vibration.
Cool! I've been checking out both of these Edelkrone rigs, thank for making this video! Do you know if either is compatible with Dragon Frame Stopmotion?
HI mate do you still use the slider one now you have the wing? What do you think about one v the other? I am looking at getting smaller version as I have the plus already. I love it but its still bigger at weddings and the one/wing could just sit on the tripod all day and only used when you need it. Whats you thoughts and thanks for all the posts.
Sup Kraig!
I'm just starting out in wedding film making and I'm from Brazil, so, people like to request for the whole ceremony and reception as a video (kinda like 1-2hours long). Should I deliver that huge movie? What products do you deliver? What products can I offer them to guide 'em off that idea of having the whole thing?
Your videos have really helped me shoot some wedding videos thx !! and your video clearly demonstrates its not the price of the gear that matters its what you can do with it !!
I agree Kraig. I have a long slider and because of it, i'm hesistant to take it anywhere. Long sliders attract too much attention. I think i'm going to sell my slider and buy the ONE. That way i can put it in my backpack and nobody would notice.
It's somewhat obvious, but the slider one will work best on objects closer to the camera. If you're using a slider on say a dance floor, or pointing at an interesting church ceiling, the movement won't be as obvious.
It depends on the style of the shooter I'm sure, and close up slides tend to be more interesting anyways...plus the slider one is so small which is a huge selling point. Seems like it would be somewhat hard to control though, being so small, might take a few tries before you get a consistent smooth shot?
Hey Kraig! I saw that you only have one paralax motion clip with the Slider One. Is it something you found more difficult to do with the Slider One or you are not doing as much anymore?
Do you use your Edelkrone Slider One on Manfrotto or Gorillapod tripod?
Agree that the Slides don't need to be "that long". I could love to see other camera showing how you slide it...
I was hoping you'd do this video!!! v. happy but still not sure if I'm sold on the slider one!
The slider one is not as smooth. I notice a lot of speed difference in its shots. I agree with the length and slow movement is enough. But i like that shit smooth
Why didnt you choose the edelkrone wing which is smaller and has longer camera travel range instead of the slider one ?
is it just my screen or does the slider one footage not look smooth?
Great review.
Thanks.
MAN! That song killed it? What's the name?
Was the audio on this video by chance captured with a Rode wireless mic? I recognize that high pitched buzzing I hate/can't get rid of in my own videos.
Didn't notice till you said it
having used both do you recommend the Slider One or the Wing slider?
Shocking: we think the same way about slider shots! Again... shocking LOL
Way too many people use them for too long and with such a fast speed!
I've been loving the slider plus so far and I'll think I'll keep it just to be "safer" in weddings or commercials... but I have to admit that the slider one really impressed me, because it's SO TINY and SO PRACTICAL!
I'll take that in consideration for "adventure" jobs or vlogging for sure! :)
Love it! Hey what tripod and head did you use for the slider plus?
Was wondering the same myself.
hi,
Would the sliderONE work well on a Manfrotto video monopod?? The one with the feet?
and,
Can you mount a manfrotto fluid tripod head to the sliderONE??
Thanks!
I'd like to know the answer to that too! How about it +WeddingFilmSchool ?
can you slide it forward and backwards as well as left to right?
you scared the shit out of that bird at 3:03
Nice vid! I loveee the Elderkrone Slider Plus 😍 #Offtopic: What for lavmic did you use here? Røde/Sennheiser/Countryman?
slider one is a bit shaky
Yes, slides shots don't need to be that long
I have the SliderONE and I agree - if you're careful with your shots it's really all you need. The main thing is to give the shot some depth by utilizing the foreground to give perspective to the shot. It's not going to work on long panoramic landscape style tracking shots but for things that utilize foreground objects to offset the background - it is an awesome and convenient device.
Hey Kraig, do you think it is possible to use the slider one sometimes on a Manfrotto monopod, too? I use mainly a Canon 80D with Sigma 18-35 for my Weddings..
Hi, I really love your knowledge and how you provide it to everyone. I have a question, which fluid tripod can handle my Slider One plus Motion Module, lens, camera and other accessories? Because I travel out of county, so I need something light weight for wedding shooting. I see the Befree Live Video tripod, not sure it can handle my equipment or not. Have you experience on it?
Hey, Kraig, in order to travel light when shooting weddings, do you think a gimbal stabilizer (Beholder EC1, Zhiyun Crane, Pilotfly H2 etc.) can do the job of these sliders?
Thanks for the review. which manfrotto fluid head are you using?
Excellent and interesting, good to know, I'm noticing that slower and shorter camera movements is essential to cinematography and is very effective. Awesome Job Kraig, Thank you.
I like watching your vids, as a music professional getting into photography and videography, I find your tips and reviews very helpful. Keep up the great work man.
lol crazy thought, but do you think a c100 would fit on this?
of course it would 'fit'. You put a head on this and then the camera--but if you're referring to if it can support it, check the specs on the website.
Hi mate where can i get the plus one
thanks for the review! where your more recent wedding videos done with this slider? and can you recommend a budget yet stable tripod?
Been curious to see your comparison, thanks for sharing!
Do you still use this set up for weddings? Isn't the plate switching a nuisance?
I have learned so much from you!! Thank you! I did confuse this for a Vlog when I clicked on it haha.
Kessler is the way to go. Drag control is a must! Love your work Kraig, though some of the shots on the sliders are inconsistent in regards to speed. Great review though!
how well does it work on a gorrilo pod for vlogging? was the shots tested on the pod tripod or switched with the heavy duty one?
Good job buddy.
hey kraig :), what do you prefer, ronin M or edelkron pro plus ?
good. you can literally take that anywhere you go. I'm glad to see some new good content on this channel.
i completely agree - the slide shot should be slow and subtle - too many seem to spend far too much time on it and too fast
Yes !!!
Have you set new accessory for slides one? Motion Module
Glidecam VS monopod at the ceremony? :)
How do you get the movie like effect?
I see you've used a letterbox,
and done color grading,
but what else can be done?
and what software is to be used?(preferably)
The secret is:
Shoot in Log (S-Log for the A7SII) and grade precicely and experiment with your grade. There are many good grading "tutorials" or "tips" on how to grade for a cinematic effect explaining Duo-Tone grading and much more.
Duo-Tone means utilizing two colors opposite each other on the color spectrum (example blue & orange, green & violet) witch will give the shot some color contrast between the objects in your shot.
Time is the deciding factor, the more time you put into things makes you better so experiment a lot with different techniques and shots! :)
Thanks alot!:)
Does the slider one work well on the Sirui monopod?
I tested this and I don't think it's possible.
Wow :) Made in Turkey!
Sell me your plus =)
I'm sorry, I did not pay attention haha
Do you have any suggestions for sliders around $100?
bit.ly/2aeFhV9
+Wedding Film School hahahahaha hahahahaha haha
+Wedding Film School lmao that's gold
I have this one: amzn.to/29UajyS it's cheap but when you put a bigger lens it can be a little wobbly and you have to put a little more effort into making it slide smooth.
Another option is to use the one above that Kraig recommended :D
Ahahah :D
nice
Made in TURKEY
Idk man.. the plus is pretty nice
