  • This is an older video I filmed (2023) of a 2000 Honda XR100 that I installed a BBR 120 big bore kit into, apologies if the quality is not the best. Overall the process was pretty easy and I am a big fan of the kit since its a pretty good bang for your buck. Feel free to ask any questions about the kit in the comments below!

    did you notice extra power on the bike after installation? I've got a CRF100 that's smoking and would probably replace the top end to get a few more years out of it.

      @@Nick-lx8mo it definitely does pick up some power, I’m sure with proper jetting it’d gain even more!

    You should record you fixing it instead of cutting to it being done

      I agree, this was footage from over a year ago, so apologies that it's not the best quality! Have a new video soon where I tried to record more of me actually doing the work.

    What carb are you running in this video

    Did you mess with jetting at all? Stock jets?

    • @dylantolo
      @dylantolo  9 місяців тому

      Stock jetting with some small fuel screw adjustments works pretty decent. Did try and get experimental with an ATC200 carb but it did need bigger jets.

      @@dylantolo thanks! I just did the same kit and it starts and idles fine but has a terrible sputter in the mid range of throttle no matter how I adjust the carb or needle.

      @samjaspar6337 one thing that's super common is the air boot from the carb to motor, so check that for cracks or leaks. Should be able to use stock jetting without much issue.

    Is it even worth rebuilding these? and is it a lot of money ?

    • @dylantolo
      @dylantolo  6 місяців тому

      You can usually pick these up in need of a top end for $400-$600 and the top end is around $300, I would recommend it if you plan or riding it a lot, you can also get one all sorted in the $1200 range so might not be worth it to some people, hope this helps!

      @@dylantolo well mine ticks a bit when it’s running is that normal for these ? It isn’t a super loud tick and the bike usually starts right away

    • @dylantolo
      @dylantolo  6 місяців тому

      @@troyholland3436 You may just need to adjust the timing chain tensioner, otherwise they do normally have a slight tick, nothing too concerning. Theres videos on how to adjust it, its pretty simple!

      @@dylantolo do I half to take the motor out to take the head off? I think I do and that’s kinda a lot of work and If the timing chain or valves are a bit off is that bad to ride the bike like that?

    • @dylantolo
      @dylantolo  6 місяців тому

      @@troyholland3436 you can adjust the tensioner on the side of the motor with a 10mm and screwdriver. The valves can be adjusted by taking off the gas tank and valve cover.
