Can't remember the last time I saw someone SO utterly at home and relaxed in an SNL monologue. This guy is amazing.
finally. SNL has some balls like it did back in the day. and it took a guest host to get there. Thanks Ramy
What's the joke at 5.58? Could you explain? I am not a native and I didn't get it!
Crikey.
That youngfella is better looking than I am.

@sirialexa9001…you alright there mate? Maybe you’re so infiltrated with the hate Israel propagates, that the pure love he’s spreading irks you. I’d suggest you evaluate yourself and ask yourself why someone being so loving generates so much hate in you.

Thank you for not being afraid to bring up the horrors being committed in Gaza (and the West Bank).
What horrors? from Hamas you mean ?
Why don't you go over their and fight? Oh wait you're an internet coward.
1,200 men, woman, and children murdered at a music festival. Unarmed, raped, murdered. Yeah, arabs love to love, Gaza stop shielding murderers, stop hiding them under and in Hospitals. You can't spin some things.

He’s won an Golden Globe for his awesome show Ramy on Hulu. The film Poor Thing was heavily nominated for Oscar this year and he played a major role in it. He’s a very good actor.
Holy crap you just made me realize where have I seen this man!
And The Bear. I haven't seen any of these yet. 😳
Poor Things was hysterical, really enjoyed it. I hope this young man has a wonderful career, his bravery alone deserves it
and he's CUTE TOO!!
Thanks for that, never heard of him. Haven't heard of those shows either.
Gave me chills. The *silence* when people realized the depth...and Ramy's generosity in bringing us back with Mr. Bojangles...*perfection*
FREE BOJANGLES!
Right. That was so perfect. I literally laughed and cried.
I wonder if that is really the dog's name or if Ramy changed it to that for SNL's sake. (It's maybe a reference to Molly Shannon's and Will Ferrell's Dog Show sketches, right?)

Absolutely, even here in the San Francisco Bay Area. I saw a "Let's Go Brandon" bumper sticker on a light pole, in a mall, in Concord, once...
The scary thing is that not everyone agrees with you, right? Frightening!
Yes.. in any direction
Ya know.... comedy about religion is touchy.... and he nailed it. Nice work, sir.
that's his speciality. His show Ramy was a dark comedy that featured religion in every episode. On Hulu.

I'm so impressed
It says a lot about the state of our world when a comedian can bring tears to someone's eyes just in his prayer and conviction for the health and safety of people. Ramy has won a new fan and God willing, God is listening. For Palestine, for the hostages, and for Bojangles..

I'm like, dude, i got you. so that night, i go to pray, and my prayers are complicated.
I've got a lot to fit in.
I'm like, god, please, please help achmed's family.
Please stop the suffering. Stop the violence.

@@discoinferno12387No residents of Gaza invaded Israel. You might be talking about Hamas Palestine’s elected government from an election that took place over 14 years ago. First time I've heard of Ramy, I must be getting old. But this was one of the the best SNL monologues I've ever seen. Will be watching his other stuff now, starting with his show on Hulu.
This was an incredible monologue. Especially for his first time hosting. Ramy is an incredible writer and his delivery is so natural, yet well timed. Truly going to be a remarkable talent in the future.
But if he’s a comedian, wasn’t it supposed to be funny. Well, the two jokes he went in on Biden were funny but that was it. And I love to laugh.

This is up there among the best monologues i’ve seen, next to Phoebe Waller-Bridge and John Mulaney. So calmly funny, clever and profound.
John Mulaney is funny. Ramy Youssef, not so much…too political.
@@jamescooke3068When you were a child, did you ever imagine you'd grow up to say things like "calling for the end of violence is *too political*"? Where did you go astray? What led you to this place in life where you are bothered by such an idea? Do you really want to be this person?
Yes, I have always strived to stand up for what I believe is right. Saying “free Palestine” in a supposed comedy routine is, yes, “too political”. Palestinians have many opportunities for their own state but their leaders have rejected them, preferring terrorism instead. Also, although Ramy Youssef mentioned the hostages he neglected to mention how they became hostages in the first place, from the October 7 heinous attacks on Israel. To allude to this in a monologue is too much, too political.
Lmao not even close. One of the worst monologues I've ever seen. Antisemitic too

It's late. We're 6 months into a genocide and this is the first time snl even talked about gaza.
I've never seen Maddie Rice, the guitar girl in the background laugh this much during a guest's host monologue.
That is so funny. I didn't know if anyone else watched her. She's a tough nut to crack and lo and behold, she laughed the whole way through. Real laughing, not just smiling!
While we‘re talking about the background, the left part of the bouquet looks like a dog. Maybe I‘m just influenced by Mr. Bojangles.
Well, she sounds like she either has no sense of humor or is bitter towards others if she can't smile or laugh at all the other hosts.
I actually saw this same comment posted to a recent show (which is interesting because I typically just scan the first several comments and move on unless something really triggered my “I gotta say something” switch). I wonder if she laughed more in this one or the other one. What if she’s just laughing more in general? And how weird would it be to have a job wherein the whole world scrutinizes what makes you laugh? Ok, not the whole world, but definitely at least one or two observant people who feel her laughter is a useful gauge for the quality of any given monologue.
That’s so true. I always watch the musicians to see who laughs 😂
