This reminds me a hell a lot of the modern game Duckgame. With all the whackiness and focus on weapons. And the huge amount of sprite scaling. Honestly I wonder if the dev of Duckgame was a fan of this game and wanted to make a modern online version of it
I was watching a video on Elevator Action, remembered the amazing sequel and immediately thought of this game!

This is the kind of craziness that makes 90s arcade games so fun.
When I was teaching English in South Korea over twenty years ago, this game was in one of my neighborhood arcades. I loved playing it, and it was very popular with the other patrons of the arcade.

Outfoxies is a good game with a great silly and over the top concept that is well executed. This is a game that should be more remembered by any people with interest in videogame history.

The scaling effects definitely remind me of the old spiderman arcade game.

After hearing you talk about one of my favourite 80s devs Data East in a recent video I would love to see a video in the future focusing on the best devs of super nintendo/arcade games or games of the 80s or 90s in general etc. It could become a series and I'd love it!

I do think the arcade game reviews are fun, since I know you have so many reviews you start to run out of places to look. I do have to say, my favorite reviews in general are for games that I am able to currently play in an official capacity. I know Data East and some others have released ports of arcade games on modern consoles, like a bunch on the Nintendo Switch. I would love to see more reviews like this for games that I actually could play an official version, as opposed to “any way you can”. Please keep up the good work.

One of my favorite arcade games that’s never released in state side. The only critique I have of it is the sprites can scale too small and can’t see often and can be confusing but you get used it quick! Glad you’re bringing it up it really is a hidden gem
I used to play this game in a small arcade in Pasadena, CA. It was one of the best, most fun games I ever played. I beat it with every character. Surprised anyone knew about this one. Wish i knew where to play it today.
I've heard of this game before, but seeing it in action is just insane. The constant zooming makes me woozy, but I can't take my eyes away from that lightning-quick sprite scaling.

@Gabriel Lopes Absolutely, and my retro gaming culture wouldn't be 10% of what it is if I didn't emulate so many games when I was young.
Unless you want to pay thousands for an arcade PCB, and that's if you can even find one for sale in the first place.
One of my favourite things about SNES Drunk videos is that you get right into it. There's no 'Hey, how's it going? It's me, SNES Drunk! Click like and subscribe! Here's a side story nobody cares about!' No fuss, no muss. Love it.
Nice to see you tackle this interesting arena fighter. The backstories to some of these characters are just amusing as all Hell. I have to say that I was not expecting to hear that there’s only two buttons to this game. Color me surprised.

Crazy how this game has never been acknowledged by Namco, the most it has gotten is that DLC T-shirt in NMH: Travis Strikes Again. That's it.

Love this game. I never saw it in any arcades though. I stumbled across it from watching Rerezs video a few years ago.

I found a magazine in YUMPU(.com) where it states this Arcade game had a Single Player Mode where you can fight Mr Acme's Helicopter? I would have liked to see that!! Oh, and there is an ending screen for each character, it seems.

The Galloping Ghost arcade in Chicago has a lot of cool games (including this one). They also had "Uchuu Daisakusen Chocovader Contactee"

Looks crazy! Since you're on an arcade kick, I'd recommend Cannon Dancer (aka Osman), the spiritual sequel to Strider that never got a home release.
I absolutely love this game. One of my arcade favorites, absolutely inventive.
Outfoxies! This game is incredible. The level of detail and engagement is insane. I consider way better than Super Smash Bros b.c of how the levels are affected by various actions either the player takes themselves or is forced upon them through the passage of time and environmental hazards. It's so cool. Another game worthy of a look is "Boogie Wings". That game is insanely detailed and it's damned fun too

This was ported to consoles through a Taito collection. XB/PS2 generation. I have it.

I can't get enough of this game lately. You can grab the controls in the plane and dump your opponent around the cabin. It's hilarious and the animation is really smooth

Something Smash-like in SNES is Sugoi Hebereke, a spin off of the Hebereke series. The perspective is from the top of the screen and have a cutesy Sprite style, but also have interactive stages and it can have 3 or 4 characters at the same time

I made MAME bezel art for this one. This game isn't as good as I had hoped it would be. It's fun for a minute, but then you just want to play Smash Brothers. It was way ahead of its time.
Really underrated and unique game. Loved playing this!
When I ran into this game years ago I couldn't believe how unknown this game was. A very, very addicting and well done action game. It's ridiculous and every fight is waaaay different from the previous one. Grab MAME and a friend and have a nice ride.
So, what's the ending like?

Different endings per character and the last level is you fighting the people who hired you in their death mansion.
