All the garbage and destruction can be associated with the word negligence or with the word ignorance. The pictures show that people do not protect nature at all and that people are too stupid to adapt to nature. All this garbage will have repercussions. People talk about reconstruction and that shows how little people have learned. There is more on the way and this is just a precursor to many that have emerged recently. The voters are the enemy of nature and the pictures, the dead people and the garbage show very clearly that they underestimate the situation.

A few houses on Meadobrook got some flood damage and there were about 4" of water in my front yard from the creek's nearby. Relieved to see just how fast they are working to get things back up and running on this end of town. Thanks for posting!

these days i have seen a lot about the loss and pain that the storm brought to the people. but i also saw that people have a very high spirit of solidarity, and help each other, although it is very sad to see everything devastated like that. thank you for showing us live footage like this.

I live in Middle Tennessee and heard on tv tonight they activated the 101st ou of Ft. Campbell so I wouldn't be surprised if you don't see alot more helicopters in the area.

Never did I expect the Nolichucky to get that violent. I saw a picture of 81/107 along the river where the road was completely gone.
The Nolichucky dam went from ~5000 gallons/sec flow the Tuesday before a peak of 1.3 MILLION gal/sec on Saturday/Sunday.

There's a big difference between an interstate and mountain communities when discussing assistance. Don't get it twisted.
@@acox2884 I never said that the fed gov't was helping everywhere, just that they ARE there - a lot of YT sites are saying there's absolutely no presence at all. I live in the TN mountains, so I understand all about living miles away from neighbors on a gravel mtn road- don't get it twisted.

From Haralson County, Ga we saw about 40-50 huge trucks loaded and most likely heading that way. Bringing the tanks for propane and electricity mini stations. Fyi

How are the folks up on the mountains outside of Erwin? Are they getting supplies? I know there's not power or phone in a lot of place, but I hope everyone is getting food and sheltered.
Up on the mountains people seem to be doing good. The only big issues that I saw were the buildings and houses close to the Nolichucky River.

A couple of days ago, Uncle Johnny’s was still there but was beat up very badly. The bridge across the river which was part of the AT is gone.
That is sad. I often hike and camp in Erwin. I tried to reach it but law enforcement had it blocked off. Do you know if I can get to it now? I want to video it and show people the situation.

11:00 i thought the water overtopped the hospital and it was a tear down now. Good to hear it had 14 feet left, it might be salvagable. The NATL GUARD needs to set up a temp field hospital, or 101 st should set up a MASH.

We have about sixty to eighty utility trucks sitting idle in Gate City, Virginia. Already problems with the union utility workers refusing to work with the non-union utility crews. Just unbelievable.

Drone footage shows Johnny's Hostel was NOT washed away. The property is covered in debris, but all the buildings are still there. This is exactly how social media rumors get started with bloggers and vloggers guessing about stuff they know nothing about.
Did you not hear what I said at the end of the video? That houses were destroyed, maybe, Johnny's Hostel but I was not sure because some people said it was destroyed and some said it just had water damage. Get my wordage straight.

I have too many health problems. The black socks I wear is compression stockings for poor circulation in my legs. I have two blood clotting disorders. I have a scar on my forearm where I tore my right bicep tendon completely from the bone. They operated on it and attached it back with screws at the Johnson City Surgery Center last year. My right arm is not as strong as it used to be.

I agree. That is the main reason I left and walked back to the main roadway. It is an OSHA policy and the company's insurance will not allow workers in the zone because of the liability.

There is more to the story. I just didn't say it in the video. One worker told the other worker that he was an illegal immigrant with no documents. Both were from foreign countries. After overhearing them, one of the workers walked over to his boss and complained that I was recording them with a camera. Now, you know.

10 hours for the 82 airborne to be in Haiti after the earthquake. They were in Puerto Rico within hours and a substantial presence within 3 days. It’s seven days and the military just arrived when they have enough helicopters within two hours flight time to blanket the state.
I agree that the Federal government is slow to help our on people, our communities in the U.S.A. Like you said, if it is a foreign country they would be there in a jiffy, swiftly. Our own country should come first.

Saturday 5 I had a retired military gentleman tell me today that tomorrow 82 nd airborne will be sent in to take control.He also said if any “feral people or sheriffs”interfere to have them arrested.I believe these retired soldiers to be telling the truth. It is infuriating to see what the federal government is doing and how they are trying to take complete control of what so many good hearted people are doing.

About bloody time some official agencies turned up with actual help are they still refusing volunteers help and donations in the actual residential community (not of associated with this specialised heavy equipment) ...

I'd be interested to see where this water entered the ocean, 40 trillion gallons entered the inland of our Country, enough to refill the Colorado River Basin and its reservoirs, with just 1 Trillion gallons, this is beyond comprehension.
