Orlando Airport Train (Red Line Round Trip)

- Looks like I got some time, about 5 hours in fact, just to wander the airport. So I filmed all the trains I could. This is the Red Line, it goes from Terminal A to Airside 1. This is one of the two lines that were recently replaced with Mitsubishi Crystal Mover trains.
I Love Airports and Trains ❤️
I missed out on riding these newer trains, last time I was there we flew Delta so we used AirSide 4. The announcements on the older trains are so much nicer though, welcoming you when you get there, and telling you to “Have a pleasant flight” when you leave. Still, I wish I had the chance to check out the new ones. Maybe some day.
They block the doors on one tram because international arrivals use it. If they want to get on another flight, they need to re-enter security. Otherwise, they could walk through the open doors to the gate area without re-clearing security.
An interesting thing is the doors are ran off a preneumatic pump theyre not actually driven from a motor which I find kind of cool
"Please hold on to the handrails, the next stop is Gates 100-129
I know, but that one is for airside 2. They only modernized the odd airsides. But I have no idea when the even airsides will be modernized.
2 monorails
Please hold on to the handrails The next stop is terminals A and B
Macau’s LRT also has this type of rolling stock.
How did you get a round trip on the tram?
Going from the first stop to the last stop and back to the first is considered a round trip. Even though this only has two stops, it's still a round trip technically.
Were you flying out of Orlando?
@@wandacapstick5476 yes, I was going back to Denver that day.
@@ElevatingDenver Which airside was your boarding gate on?
@@wandacapstick5476 it was Airside 2.
The one thing I found odd is the outer doors on these trains look alot like elevator doors with that metal look to them
I mean I like these trains but I'd prefer the older bombardier trains
3:15 - It does look like a pedestrian ramp, but is it reserved for employees only or do passengers normally have access to that ramp?
It is a TTS speech system
This one takes you to Gates 1-29.
