Can you port forward 443? Change it to different number like 558 or something?

Yes you can change the port number. We still recommend connecting over either myQNAPcloud Link or a VPN connection, ideally for better security.

Can you guys make a step by step video showing how to install a vpn and make it works? I did tried many time but I don't know how to do it and there no video for an easy installation for home guys like, i go directly to the internet but i Have a few copies of my files and in case something happened I just reset my nas, but the purpose of my nas is to be a live cloud for family videos and pictures. All the safety settings are applied with 2 errors for logging and get blocks forever, 2 step, and more but I use my qnap ddns to access the network, any advise?, with out internet there is no sense for us to use the nas. Thanks

      Hi, 07 Review.
Thank you for your feedback. We will take your request into consideration when determining tutorial plans. Here is a link to the written tutorial though: www.qnap.com/en/how-to/tutorial/article/how-to-set-up-and-use-qvpn. You may want to consider myQNAPcloud Link to easily provide remote access to the NAS for you and your family without port forwarding. It’s both secure and simple to install.
