The music of Handel reminds me of my Nana. She loved to paint and was a nurse and so she got me into classical music. One of her favorite composers was Handel. She particularly loved Water Music and the Messiah despite us being a Jewish family. She died last year due to old age and I miss and think about her every day. Tchaikovsky was her second favorite but her ultimate favorite was Handel.

I enjoyed this very much. Thanks for posting. My favorite Handel works, though, are the oratorios, and in particular the choruses. "Israel in Egypt" is magnificent from beginning to end, and then there is the incomparable "Messiah."
