@@HistorySavior1941 I haven't made a vid in a long while, hell yeah life is crazy. I have 1 real and one repro k rat, I want the full morale set one of these days
Sadly, units who had to rely on K-Rations for their primary source of nutrition for extended periods wound up getting severely malnourished, as one might expect of "healthy" compact meals which wasted space on graham crackers, candy, sugar and cigarettes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-ration#Evaluation_and_field_reports Seriously, why not give the soldiers time-honored travel foods like jerky, nuts, and dried fruits? They'd probably have stayed healthier and arguably happier. They were intended as *emergency* fodder, after all, so coffee and chewing gum weren't really necessary. Oh, wait: I forgot that corporations were primarily using their defense contracts to develop lucrative post-war snack foods, not to keep soldiers well-nourished in the field. How foolish of me!/sarc
You hit the nail on the head exactly and I could not have said that any better myself! It is interesting to ask why and why not when exploring the history of rations. It is amazing to see how the practice of rationing has advanced and then not advanced at the same time. Please keep commenting more things like this. Very solid points!!!! Thank you!!
I can’t even “nice hiss” like Steve lol. Too many people out there trying to copy Steve. He is who he is and trust me he is a great guy, but that is his style and all I am saying is I have enough respect to not try to copy him or anyone else. I just do me lol. But yes, I am with you he is one of the best!
@@HistorySavior1941 You don't do just rations either buddy. You bring a whole nother level to quality videos. I mean. Really! Sounds to me that dude is trolling or just not understanding we aren't imitating Steve or anyone else. We are ourselves and you can either watch or not. And we wish you well and have a fantastic day 😀
