Seeing professional cobblers like you working in perfect harmony with technology and hand skills is truly amazing. Your an artisan sir and watching you work is incredible.
Nice looking boot. It amazes me how many resole and reheel these boots but fail to use the classic tapered sole and angled heel destroying the look of the original boot. You did it right.
H&H are made by Corcoran. Not sure what the difference is except maybe the outer sole. I have this same exact boot has an H&H tag in the but also has another label saying Corcoran.
Great job! I'll have to contact you about a pair of jump boots I would love resoled but with a vibram yellow tab sole. True artist, hard to find anyone to do this type of repair anymore. Seriously I had my old original Corcoran jump boots resoled locally here in Detroit 3 times by the same man before the stitching wore out, by then he had retired and moved, and no one else would touch them hahahaha. He even resoled a pair of dms issue combat boots I had with a vibram yellow tab sole, they out lived the uppers. Talk to you all soon Cheers from Detroit
Really nice job there. I Wore a pair of those for three years, 1978 to 1981 US Army. They take a beating, running and excercise and daily wear and tear. A very comfortable boot after breaking them in.
Peabody Shoe Repair Shop...this is the reason why I prefer the conventional jungle boots and desert jungle boots:they can be re-soled. Oh,and geez...I didn't know there's a sowing machine for"tough"materials.Tried to get alterations on my BDU's only to be confronted with griping about the material is too tough...from several"professionals".
He resoled these in the traditional fashion that has been around for hundreds if not a thousand or so years. The black issued, desert or jungle boots are resoled by cutting the sole horizontally then sanding it smooth then gluing a new rubber sole directly to it. Both are durable and extend the service life yet the new boots are way cheaper to resole. Enjoy your boots.
Those look good. Did you use the same cork though, instead of replacing it? Also, no groove cut in the bottom if the sole to inset the stitches so he's not walking on them and wearing out the thread?
Yall ever thought of using a windshield removal blade for cutting thru the polyurethane bead really long 18 " more control on tuff areas 2 hands so you don't slip off and slice your hand. Just curious. Seem like it would lick this pretty quick. Thanks
Geez brother your hands look like you have been in a fight.. your knuckles' are all red and cut.. my hands haven't looked like that since the old days.. Fight club by chance? Well.. never mind.. Dang I wish I had saved my old jump boots they would have been nice to have now.. My old feet could use a little comfort..
Patching the footbed there Frankie baby! We replaced the entire outsole and just patched in fresh leather in the insole, where the heel nails come through

That’s some hard work my man. Nice job!
Got my first H&H’s in the Army. 101st ABN. Pathfinder.
3/502 HHC scout platoon, 84-86 101st. I wore Corcoran jump boots then. Lok....
Excellent Job on the boots. Best hair on the net too.
Do you resole sneakers? I have some old Chuck Taylors made in USA before NIKE bought them and moved to China.
Good to see young people doing real skills of old instead of just flipping burgers.😁
Great vid! Wish you would start recording again and make some new resole videos! Luv it!
Owner *really* liked those boots that are like 44 years old to repair them
anyone else nervous when he's pulling the blade towards his body with his face inches away?
Excellent work!
Could you have just installed a new leather insole, if the client so preferred instead of just patching the old one? Thanks.
Anybody else yelling BUY NEW BOOTS? 😂

1:58....the shoe in the back looks like a civil war brogan shoe....
Incredible!
I just bought a pair from eBay!
HOW MUCH IS THAT REPAIR COST?
You should definitely make more videos.
11:50 Bottom left looks like a 1920s era ladies shoe.
Why an inner stitching on the sole and then white on black?
They're both just some common classic details we thought we'd try out on this pair

What brand of half soles and heels did you put on em?
Vibram
@@peabodyshoerepair9135 Oh wow, they don't look like the normal tractor tire style Vibrams
Hi, which Vibram soles are those? How do you get the solid beveled heels and chevron tread? I don't see them on the Vibram product site.
Patching the insole instead of replacing it? Wow, remind me to never bring you my shoes!!
Patching the footbed there Frankie baby! We replaced the entire outsole and just patched in fresh leather in the insole, where the heel nails come through
@@peabodyshoerepair9135 Then I apologize to you ,baby! ;)
