My biggest gripe with high end gels are that the initial production batches are usually fantastic, but the manufacturing quality seems to depreciate throughout batch progression. Some brands have stood the test of time but few and far between. Would be interested to see you redo some of your older test and see if there are clear metric changes in performance.
Try the ihobby blue pack. I was sceptical but I was pleasantly surprised. I have one of the infamous EastCoast XM177 gbbrs that would never shoot and crush all gels - the ihobby blue pack gels are the only gels that work in it. And I've tried everything, UE, Oztac booms you name it.
I started gel soft only 6 months ago, these gels are the main ones i use. Im super surprised. Im looking at my 4 unopen packs, i dont really see much colour variation in my packs. Ive also done the super reliable pinch test and struggle to break these. Most of my ungrown gels look more frosted then what i watched, maybe you did get a doggy pack. But if the results are true then ill be switching to Ausgels v2.
Thanks for the vid Does hardness affect range and accuracy ??????????? as well doses the weight matter A heavier would be less affected by wind and carry more momentum ????????? What if you removed them form the water at a shorter time period - would the reduce size affect the hardness, as the gel would not expand as much , therefore giving it a thicker outer surface??????
The quality is ridiculous considering the price, now i feel like getting all the ihobby gels packs out of my gel storage box and throwing them straight into the bin
In the few years I've been playing I found the ihobby gels to be the worst on the maket, loads of broken gels while growing, heaps over sized, just horrible
@@lowguidoschopshop I use the ihobby blue ones as they were recommended for use in gbb's. They have been the best I have used locally, I prefer them to the early UE gels I have used. We don't get that many options in FNQ so they seem to be the preferred ones up here.

V2 is great for 7.3 barrel and i recommend ihobby blues for 7.5

Even the old cheap gold packet milkies were better than that ihobby trash.
