I was at a store today, I was able to test the weight (Mantis 10 Pro, 24.5 AH). It's not that heavy. Ok I'm a man, 172 lbs, but it's not very heavy. You could carry it down or up a few flights of stairs. And when you stand on it (the deck is a bit high) the handlebars aren't high. I feel like buying one, after everything I've read for months. And they have adressed issues etc. I'm just being enthusiastic, this is not an ad. :p
Cool video BTW, it's interesting you are so impressed by the scooter and rave about it, call it amazing, but also include things like the water resistance issue. Always appreciate a complete & honest review
Really good review, straight to the point, does not feel like an ad, real numbers. I'm still a bit bummed coz I know metric system only so it's difficult for me to understand pounds and miles. Other than that you convinced me to get one!
@@mrniceguy0531 Look into the Varla Eagle Pro it is priced similarly but much better scooter option. A bit heavier but better. Check the video and the link in the description on the video. Strongly recommend that model.

This is the 10 inch tire Mantis Pro, correct? The Mantis 8 Pro comes with 8 inch tubeless tires which are way better than standard tube tires for flats so I don't understand why the Mantis 10 Pro comes with 10 inch tires with tubes since flats are more common than not. Have you had problems with flats as I hear that is one of the drawbacks and why the Mantis 8 Pro might be easier to maintain than the Mantis 10 Pro ?
@@ElectricVehicleSpace Can the 10 inch tube tires be changed to 10 inch tubeless like the Mantis 8 and if so, would there need to be any modifications or just pull and play ? Thanks again for the info and help
@@JustinDT1225 I'm not sure to be honest. I personally like the since it is easy to swap them and inflate. The tubeless tires need a compressor to be inflated and I don't own one neither have room for it in my apartment.
Oh man. How is that bump coming out of the Met Life Building tunnel at Park/E46th? In a car it’s pretty violent. I can only imagine how much fun it is on a scooter 😉. Stay safe out there, most people driving in the city these days should have their license revoked!
yeah of course. but this is the loudest engine noise I've heard so far. almost like a metallic rattling noise when acceleration frome start. like a grount
It depends if weight and size is something that you care about. I love the 10inch pro mantis. Performs like a super fast scooter - fluidfreeride.com/products/mantis-advanced-all-round-powerful-electric-scooter-long-range?variant=29448411054149&ref=87
what luck you have to perform it in ordinary roads. here in Sweden, these electric scooters are forbidden to be driven on ordinary roads because they can go a maximum of 20km / h. if they go faster than that then they may only be performed on track. Swedish legislation does not depend on the development of these machines.
Yeah, here in the states the lifelong greedy politicians at least give us the option to get away from overly aggressive gun toting cops and armed degenerate felons. Murica!!
That is an awesome scooter but for $2k you can make a low powered cheaper bike or scooter faster w/ a bigger motor/controller/battery (for probably the same cost) than a $2k stock scooter.... But if you don't want to build or mod your stuff it looks like a really good stock scooter.

A cheaper solution to waterproof or water resisting is to buy sugru and use a bit of foam for support. Just a friendly FYI
Do you have a video to show how this could be done please? Would have no idea how. TIA!
Thanks for the Cling Film Tip.
Fantastic Idea.

Yes indeed! My favorite scooter this year.
flawed design with no water resistance tho
So lemme get this straight, I've to spend over 2 grand on this but if it starts raining, I'm out of luck?

Does the Mantis Pro have quicker acceleration compared to the 60 volt 10X?
Yes because is 10 to 15lbs lighter.

Wouldn't recommend any scooter riding in anything more than a light drizzle. No scooter company warranties water damage.

Can you drill holes on the sides of the frame so water doesn't damage the battery case ?
you dont need to drill holes but waterproff the entire case.
can they put gas tank infront of the scooter for swap then swap to chargarble?
