Thank you for this. I got into doing Quickbooks very late and I missed the nine or 10 month limit to download by one month, so I have to manually enter January. This is very helpful because I’m not very computer savvy and you made it so easy. Thank you again.

Thanks for another video Gunnar. I used your video to get some bank data that client didn't have in his bank feeds.

Excellent video! I am buying an 2018 version of Quickbooks Desktop Pro. Can I still import banking activity or do I need to upgrade to a Quickbooks subscription version to be able to utilize this feature. I was informed that May 2023 was the cut off date for banking activity imports from Desktop versions without a subscription. Can you please confirm. Thank you!

Thank you and thanks for watching! I honestly though unfortunately can’t help you here. I specialize only in QuickBooks Online and do not keep up with anything regarding QuickBooks Desktop. Of course, this video will help in the process itself of converting statement PDFs into spreadsheets to format into an uploaded sheet, whether into QuickBooks Online, Desktop, or any other bookkeeping platform for that matter, but I cannot confirm the ability to do this or not in different QuickBooks Desktop programs. Sorry I can’t help in this capacity, but thanks again for watching!

When I look at the bank statement I see blanks under the Payee Account column. The individual deposit shows who the payee is but it does not transfer to the Bank Statement. Am I doing something wrong?

Depending on your bank you very well may not be doing anything wrong, some banks don't show the individual payess for each deposit on the statement. If that is the case for your particular bank, you may have to add the payee lines individually, if this is true, it would be easiest in my opinion to add these in the Xcel stage rather than uploading all of them and updating them in QBO

@@essentiallyintentional I don't currently have online to test, but always thinking about switching from desktop. So I am curious, are you saying that if you had added a payee column to the excel, you would have been given the opportunity to map that column to the payee column in your register?

@@poptart4596 Yes, that is correct. You will have the opportunity to map a payee column. Just so you know, I believe that Intuit is currently offering a free 30-day trial if you do want to go in there and play around. Also, if you do decide to switch, we do offer a Desktop to Online Conversion service as well to help you out with the conversion to ensure that everything goes smoothly, thanks for watching.
