Very informative, thank you. It's unfortunate that the only picture of the Hagia Sophia you could find is the one with the four pillars placed there by the ottomans. but aside from that thanks for the videos.

(Mark 12:38-40) And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces, 39 And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts: 40 Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.

Father, Can you shed some light on the deacon's stole? Specifically why do deacons hold the end of their stole in one hand? Our deacon re-wraps his stole before Communion which seems very practical.

Is there any reference about these robes in New Testament ? Did either Peter or Paul told about them? Then why you are practicing such things?

Father Bless, thank you so much for making these videos, i have complete trust that i can have my 8 year old watch these videos to educate her about Church. We actually greatly enjoyed your video on Ossuaries, this is very important material that needs to get out there as much as possible, much much more important than church politics videos in my opinion. I think a huge problem on youtube is that some Orthodox videos would not be appropriate for children to watch, but may be very good for an adult. For exampe videos coming up in my feed from Father Josiah Trenham(whom i personally love his material) should be explicity for adults and would be very inappropriate and possibly damaging for an 8 year old to view. I think we may need more self regulation/segregation on the material that our Church puts on the internet. I'm going to start compliling a playlist of children appropriate Orthodox videos and i can absolutely say every single one of your videoes ive seen will be going on there. Thank you so much

And what about his black robes? Black orthodox robes make me want to be orthodox...

It's yet again traditional like he said in the video. Perhaps it's even a cultural dress. Remember that the church is decentralized so one Fr. doesn't represent all. (I love the black as well lol)

They say. "Away from the tiranny of fashion", and then they jump to the church, to another tiranny of fashion. Ok then.

It maybe historical but not biblical. It's followed by RCM churches.and later is followed blindly by protestant. These garments are meant for jews, who are still following Tanaq. There's no mention of such practice by apostles in the New Testament . Anyway, what is the use of such practices with respect to the believers faith?

Human made and not God made, why then not for general Christians?

There's a difference between those who are publicly called to spread the Word of God and administer the sacraments vs the laity aka general population of Christianity.
The clothes are to show that.
All are called to know God's teaching, practice them and encourage each other, but clergy according to Scripture, God holds to a different standard.

I think the priest the bishops and the higher ones wear too many clothes and have too many different ones I would be more than happy if they all wore one particular colour and one colour the on the special days that happen a few times a year. Just too much and to hot for summer.

Just think for nearly 2,000 years they wore the robes with no AC.
One church I attended the pastors were heavily robed and no AC, never heard them be upset about it no matter how hot it got.
