Well stated Father Mike. Coming from an altar boy from the late 1960's to 1970's, we never spoke to the priest while he was dressing because he was at prayer. The more experienced servers would help him dress in silence. And at that time all his prayers were said in Latin. There was also a like process for his disrobing.
