Hands down the most submersible swatching style. Attention to detail is unreal! 👏🏼
Aww, thank you!! ❤️❤️
I would love to watch you paint some of your charming creations - like those whimsical birds!
Thank you Kathleen! ☺️ I hope to do so soon!♥️
I would LOVE to see you paint some of your whimsical art. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos and some of them I have watched multiple times. You inspire me. Sending you blessings from the US. ❤❤
@@tammieoneal1296 Thank you so much Tammie!! Sending you lots of blessings and hugs, back! ❤🥰
I don’t mind long videos or Timelapse, voiceover or just calm music while you paint, everything is fine, would really love to see you work your magic 😊
You are so talented, and love how you adore "color"!! That love & joy in color is, in itself so inspiring. I find it a joy learning from your gifted talent💛🧡❤️
Thank you so mich Lynn!! ❤️🎨🥰
Oh my, please do palettes inspired by Books ! What an awesome Idea 💖🌸
I’ve been rather quiet since discovering you but wanted to express my appreciation for your color knowledge and just how much you clearly love sharing them with us. I love the idea of creating palettes inspired by books!
Thank you so much, Mo! ❤️I do love sharing my love of colors with you very much! And am so grateful you are here! 🥰
This limited color palette is a real gem. Color mixes are so beautiful. I think it’s a very good idea to create color palettes inspired by books. But, I would say, it’s your choice.
Thank you so much Olga! I am so happy to hear you like the palette! ❤❤
Wowee! You are Wonder to behold! I’ve learned so much from this video. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Thank you for this video. I love the title of 'Forest Fey Palette'. It truly is a fitting name. I really like your pre-painted paper sketchook to put you swatches, beautiful! Thank you for sharing your choice of colors. They are firest like, and thank you for the colors in the description part as well. Payne's Grey has been a fave of mine for years. YES PLEASE- do palettes for books!!!!!
I’m SO happy that I found your Chanel!🥰😍🤗
I love this palette. Very pretty indeed. I would really like to see how the colours translate into your art🙂
I finally figured out the sound. Great color mixes! I love Jane Eyre! I think palettes inspired by books would be cool.
This would be a lovely palette to illustrate The Borrowers.
I love the greens you produced with these colors. All are beautiful but the greens are so yummy. That last one might be my favorite. I love how you named the palette too. I don’t have these colors but maybe I can get something similar. Inspired
Truly enjoyed this. Very beautiful limited palette with such divine muted colours. My mind creates images with colours and words too and I love your ramblings. It would be so nice to see you do a painting of forest fey with this palette.
I love this palette 😍 and yes please I love the idea if creating a palette on books that sounds so unique and fun 👏🏼
Thank you!! 😊🎨
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful color palette! ❤

STUNNING‼️
Absolutely stunning!!
💕
Thank you so very much 😊💝
What a gorgeous Autumnal palette, even late summer 😍 it's so inspiring! Thank you! I bet they would all be pretty mixed with buff titanium too.
Inspiring video! You make perfect sense to me! I think it’s a brilliant idea to make
Palettes based on books.
Amazingly beautiful colours !
Thank you Judith! ❤❤
I love the idea of palettes inspired by books!! I so often listen to audiobooks while painting. I love your videos - I just found you recently and am so happy about it!
Beautiful colors ! I ❤ the idea of a pallet based on a book!!
Thank you so much Monica! ❤❤
that def is nice payne's grey 🥰they are perfect fantsy colours, perfect for so many fantasy critters 😀
Thank you! 😊🎨
I love love love those colors together! Would really like to see you paint the bird too ;)
Oooh, maybe I could paint a bird using those colours for my timelapse video!! Thank you for the suggestion!☺️🌸
I love these types of videos. ❤
Thank you for your kind comment and for being here!💖
Once upon a time.....There are the best bedtime stories.
As someone who makes UA-cam videos as well I vastly prefer Timelapse and voiceover! You can get the audio more perfect and do takes. Cutting out ummm, clicks, ticks and mouth smacks, etc. you can do it in pieces and redo takes if you mess up and get it sounding audibly superior as well by recording in a foam or otherwise more enclosed area (in a closet or surrounded by books, etc. find best acoustics).
I love this theme pallet I’ve made themed pallets before and continue to do so. That book idea is new to me and a great idea! A colour pallet based on the feel of a book is really cool and inspiring!
I have a few pallets based on more representative things and a couple based in songs! I think I may do more themed pallets. You reminded me of this good idea.
I think paring the pallet with a themed artwork using that pallet that fits the theme would make a really great series of UA-cam videos actually.
I’d love to do the song ones myself but I suppose I can only do it for copyright free music or my own songs! As I’d desperately want to play that song during the video but couldn’t…
Anyways I think you could also say quotes from the book that feel thematic too!
Fun ideas.
Don't push yourself to hard for doing a weekly video. People tend to burn themself out doing it. Do it in your time and I will gladly wait for it.
I was really surprised by the mixes with Lunar Red Rock, and the all-in green too. That is a lovely shadowy forest palette you created.
Palettes inspired by books sounds like a great idea, but your story telling by colours is great too. I don't mind your rambling, quite the opposite.
Thank you for the nice video and have a good time with all the Easter feys in their murky mountain woods.
Thank you so much ColorSmith (what a lovely name!!) The Lunar Red Rock took me by surprise too when I first mixed it! There are so many colours that have such potential, I want to mix them all haha. I will try to take it slow, there are weeks I know that I will have to take breaks from creating videos, and it is so lovely and kind to hear that you are willing to wait! 🥰Many warm Easter fey wishes to you! xoxo
This was so, so fun to watch..and a joy to listen to. Thank you for taking the time to film and share!
You are so welcome, thank you for being here and for your lovely comment! ❤️😊
This was such an inspirational video. Looking forward to all future pallets ideas. Love you back ❤
💖☺️🌸
thank you for sharing this is so relaxing and this is just what i need right now, so glad i have found your channel. xxxxxx
You’re so welcome Jacqueline😊Thank you so much for being here! xoxo
Such an inspiring palette! I have honestly never thought of mixing Payne’s Grey w Quinacridone Gold before. I tried it now and it makes such a lovely range of greens! Thank you so much for the inspiration! During my way to learn painting botanical watercolours we were not encouraged to use Paynes Grey as at least one teacher thought it dulled the other colours, but I have to say it is a hidden gem, I think it actually enhances other colours when used in mixes. There is SO much dos and dont’s in painting, some tutors ban the use of ready made greens or other convenience mixes other tutors say use whatever you want…it was very confusing for a beginner .
I had all the colours except Lunar Red but I mixed a bit of Daniel Smith Sedona plus M Graham Terra Rosa w a tiny bit of Dark Morrelo e Earth by M Harding to get a colour that is very like the Lunar Earth. I have never thought of mixing such an earthy red w other colours and I was very pleasantöy surprised. So thank you for re-wiring my watercolour brain!
This is so lovely. Love these colours=3
Thank you! 😊
What a beautiful palette! Love all of your videos and would like to see your art as well. I don't think of it as rambling, more as thinking out loud, and I enjoy hearing your thought process.
Thank you Adrienne, I am so glad you liked the palette! I do find myself getting carried away when I am making videos, especially when I am talking about colours, haha! 😁❤️
Dear Lily, it is so beautiful how you make your videos. I love them all, also your comments about the birds outside and about Baloo are so loving. I like the wooden background of your videos and how you put your supplies together. Above all, your videos are very relaxing for me and inspiring. I can understand your love for colors. I hope that you keep going, never give up and above all stay healthy, in peace in your cozy place. Thank you so much. 😊
Oh Alex. thank you for your beautiful message!!❤❤🥰!
Excellent work👍😲❤
Thank you so much!
That was so much fun!! Can't wait for more!
It makes me really happy to know you enjoyed it! 😊❤️
Amazing palette! Just lovely! Yes, ❤please make some inspired by books!
Thank you!!💖I'm so happy to hear you like the idea of book inspired palettes!🤗
Your channel was in my recommendations today ! I'm so glad it did. 😊I love your instructions and showing your switching and mixing style. New sub from Kansas USA ❤🎉😊
Thank you so much for being here and for subscribing!! 🥰❤️
Such stunning colors, I haven’t been successful in finding a watercolor book with cotton paper, but I know it really makes a difference in the outcome.
Thank you ♥️ The Etchr everyday sketchbook has lovely paper😊
Lovely mixes of beautiful colours! Mixing is an art and I get so much inspiration from you :)
Thank you! And I get so much inspiration from all your lovely comments!❤❤
I would love to see you paint the bird featured on your thumbnail picture!
Patty- I have watched this video 3x. I love it. I am currently practicing mixing colors. It was providential that your video appeared at this time. Thank you so much.
Patty that makes me so happy thank you!!!♥️☺️
I absolutely loved seeing you swatch these colors. I love the LRR added to all the colors the most.
The LRR was such a revelation when I first mixed it, I got so excited, haha! I am so happy you liked the palette!🤗💖
❤❤❤
more 🙌
I am new to your channel. This was genius!!! So pretty. I have all the colors except for that red rock. $$
Thank you! ❤️🥰
I feel like you’re a bad influence on my pocketbook! 😆
Seriously though, this is beautiful, thank you ❤️
Oh no, I'm sorry Robin! 😆I am very happy you liked the video!! 🥰🥰
very nice ❤️😍
Thank you! 🥰
Beautiful mixes indeed, thank you so much for the inspiration! 🥰
I am so very happy to hear you liked them!🤗💖
Lily, here’s to another gorgeous palette! Not only are the colors beautiful, but your Forest Fey painted swatch journal and bird art are just so lovely! Thank you, I always have such a wonderful time watching your videos 🎉🤩 P.S. Here’s to my NEW favorite! You’ll know it’s me, because I say the same thing every time you swatch a palette 🤣👏🏽
You are so very very kind, thank you so much for your lovely comment! I am so happy you enjoyed the video! xoxo
@@lilymoonart and also…I am so slow, I didn’t even realize you have an Etsy shop! Oh my, just so beautiful, whimsical, funny and wise! I started with your gorgeous rabbit journal, I can’t wait till it arrives 😀!! Thank you for all your talents and for being so passionate about paint…really inspiring! Okay, enough gushing 🤣🥰
Lets hear it for all the early birds!
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ 😴
I am a fan of limited palettes & I love how those colours mix. I had all but the lunar red rock, so instead used indian red ... it was a little too opaque, but oh what fun. I am looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Thank you so much! ❤️🥰
This may sound silly but I’m dying to see you flip through that whole book of swatches! Like really slow so I can savor the beautiful way you make the page and name the brand. Please!!!!
Not silly at all! My Etchr sketchnbook which I am using in the video has been used for sketching out ideas and trying out new colours too, but perhaps in the future I can purchase and use one especially for my swatching videos! 🥰❤️
@@lilymoonart Ah! ok, in my mind I thought that all your beautiful swatches were in one book, which has me inspired me to look for the right size book to do that in. I love learning your mixes!
I would LOVE to see pallettes built on Books. Especially Jane Austen.
Oh, a Jane Austen palette would be a wonderful challenge!! Thank you so much for the suggestion Kristin! 🥰
I loved the details you added to the pages of your swatches. It is so much more interesting to see the swatches presented that way. Also, who is the manufacturer of your notebook paper? It seemed to take the color so well. Thanks.
Etchr
You had a lovely 19:16 'Transit of Venus' ... and then you erased Venus from the Solar System :( Love the channel. Thank you.
Gorgeous! ❤
Thank you ☺️♥️
First! Probably will be fast asleep during the premier 🥱.
Yay for first! Hope you like the video when you watch it! 😊😊
@@lilymoonart Oh, I always do!
These greys are very beautiful!
Thank you ♥️
Daniel Smith needs to give you a cart blanch on a mix set with your name on it!!!
Haha that would be wonderful!! ❤️🥰
Yes,I think fairies love mustard ❤😂
😁😂🥰
Beautiful palette!
Thank you so much Kathy!!💖
Forest feys eating out of pottery shards 😂. I love your imagination!!
😁😊
😊💖🤗
🌸🤗💗
Lovely colours and such beautiful presentation!
It might be an idea to remove the price tag from the brush.
I should really do that, I keep forgetting! Thank you for your lovely comment! 😊
I too am a slow painter😊
🥰❤️
is there a transparent comparison for the carmine and payne's grey blueish?
@LilyMoonArt Great video... thank you. I don't understand your Payne's Gray blue extra swatches ... did you add another colour, or simply dilute original with more water? And do you ever note what you use to make the additional swatch?
Hi Madelyne! Do you mean the other grey swatches? Those are mixes, the first two are a mix of Sepia and Payne's Grey Bluish :) I do mention the colours I used in the video when I mix them, hope this is helpful! 😊
Am I missing something???? I cannot find any videos in which you actually paint. This is NOT a criticism ….is your site just for swatching? Thank you for sharing.
Hi Carol! I have a timelapse video of me drawing/painting coming up this month, I hope you enjoy it! 😊
what if you did a solar system, like with all the planets with these
Oooh, lovely suggestion, thank you! 🥰
