The Titan X is super powerful. Impressed by the build quality.
Support is A+ from my experience so far. Shipping box could be reinforced more or double pack, all items arrived safely.
You can actually set cruise control I think in most modes but have to be above ~10-15mph, well maybe only in mode 2-3-T, think I tested at ~15-20mph in mode 2. The mode number inverts pixels w what looks like a dark square w rounded edges surrounding the number. Accelerate or brake to cancel, break for sure cancels.
~40 miles now, make sure to check tire pressure on the hotas, awesome tires.
Testing the evolve 107 abec 11 F1 wheels w bones swiss 6ball bearings next.
Monster uphill, can literally carve uphill on these things now. Epic rides, LG battery is strong so far, does loose a bit of power at ~25-15% and as you go lower but maybe feels like if u were in 3 mode, drops to 2 slightly, need to test more. Adjustable breaks are great so far. Varying terrain, flat and hill, is indeed about ~30mi, probably more, on hotas, I'm ~175lbs. Urethane wheels are def ~40mi rides between charges. Will test tho.
Oh and my temperature outside here from past tests is ~72F, but for sure with my other boards and in general with electrics cooler temps and of course riding style can affect range.
The power and torque curve is also pretty monster over various speeds, esp in T mode.
Agree ! Their service is really top notch
Great thorough review Scotty , very informative mate , looks like a great board , they just seem to be getting better every time a new board comes out 👌
Thank you uncle Scottie . That was a great review. Was hoping you would get this one
Love the 80’s music :)
Thanks ! Takes a little
Time to pick the right tracks that reflect the board and footage 😂
Awesome review, Interesting LG cells. the range beast is more interesting that speed to me these days!
Yea same here,
Your tip of the week is so right! I did most of my Esk8ing in Melbourne. When you encounter the coppers, be nice, joke with them and have fun. I got pulled over once for not wearing a helmet, it was all good. Thing is that Esk8 is still fully illegal there! Thankfully this happened not far from home so I could grab said missing helmet. That said, also be aware of the pedestrians. I had one situation where they walked straight into my path, and I had no way to get out of their way, nor brake fast enough. A collision ensued. Not a situation I want to find myself in ever again, that's for sure
Pedestrians know how to act around bikes, but for some reason have no idea how to act around electric skate boards. Its like we are piloting a UFO or something.
😂 yep
Good work 👏. I was debating between 3 boards. The Hurricane, Titan X , and the Zues Pro. I think I made the right decision on going with the Zues Pro 🤙.
All 3 are great boards. Hard to make a bad decision
How much range are you getting on the Zues Pro?
Great Review, and I’m really liking the recent “after the video” content as well. The older men usually look at you and seem happy, the older ladies seem to be a bit more edgy, but if you acknowledge them, they sure do humanize you rather than thinking of you as just a skateboard ! Thanks for the review and WHAAAAA?….adjustable brakes!!! That is great for every rider!!! Especially us that have a little more fluff. The old hobbywing brakes failed to stop us rapidly. Probably didn’t effect the thinner people as badly.
good work as always
Thanks mate and thanks as always for watching !!
⚡ *Seems like a solid board* ⚡
but it doesn't seem like it's doin enough to stand out more than the popular picks.
I like their battery choice solely for doin somethin different and givin people choice.
Adjustable brakes on Hobbywing 🤩
Such a good and underrated feature, different people have different needs and preferences so really lets you dial it in. I do think 100% should be super strong as a startin point.
Still not a fan of the taillight in the back where many people stand a board up lol.
Maybe the bushings issue is down to them usin the metal+half bushing combo.
Great advice at the end, I share those sentiments, hello's or even a simple thank you goes a long way, I rarely have negative interactions, whereas some people tend to have a lot, be considerate to others and it makes a big difference.
🤙🏼🤙🏼
Always a good Sunday eating lunch watching another review. Who's Scotty.
Haha thanks Peter and thanks for watching !!
Seems solid, but I do wonder about the lg cells. The price seems a bit high to me for that unknown quantity, given that it seems to be neck and neck with the hurricane that currently runs about 200 less. But it does have a seemingly longer range. I guess at this point it's mostly a matter of preference, and whether you want tkp or dkp.
Paul from Michigan how much is the B1 two wheel drive and four wheel drive I like to know I like what you're saying about the one in your video here
Titan X ordered, should be delivered soon 🥳
Mine will be here soon.
Hi Scotty nice review 👍 question what you prefer Meepo hurricane or Titan X ?
what you peak?
Hurricane
9:18 What track is that, who is it by?
I'd take this over the zeus. Extra 10 km range plus some extra features? heck yess. Ownboard does have some nice sales though.
Umm if range is what your going for then the Zeus pro with the Molicel M50A battery is also a 13s4p with 936wh and the batteries are molicel not LG. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Hi did you pay with paypal because my paypal doesn’t work and they are being mad sketchy abt payments like requesting a payment from paypal
ScottD, the Titan seems nice & all but end of the day, its just another generic hybrid board with a carbon deck. Being that Tynee's one of your sponsors, I'm surprised you haven't gotten the new Tynee Explorer yet (or have you 🥳?). I just sold my Eovan Super as I wasn't riding it much. Its nice & scary quick & all but I discover carbon fibre isn't my cuppa. Then Tynee Explorer OTOH is very intriguing as its one of the few flexy hybrids ala Evolve bamboo but about $1k less. Speed is good but comfort is everything, for me atleast. Can't wait til you review the Explorer 🤩
Yea man I’ve had the explorer for maybe 4 weeks now,
Just having fun ridding it,
It’s a awesome board, check my Instagram I posted a little 15 sec clip today.
The flex on the Tynee is super nice and really rebounds well
Song name @ 10:00
Molicel M50a on the Zeus pro has 936wh also. Soo why choose this over the Zeus pro?? 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
At this point it comes down to style 😂
And company reputation.
I know my favourite 😉
@@scottdaviesyoutube well im guessing its the zues? let us know whats better LOL
Yep
17:38 same bro
😂 I had to view to see what part it was, and then spat out my coffee laughing ! ☕️ 😹
15 amp discharge. meh. 5000mah pretty dam great lol
🍹🛹🤙
I don't think adjustable braking is a good idea. sure for kids you don't want them to break hard but then this board isn't for kids. if I immediately want to brakehard due to some car jumping in front of me, I don't think i want to switch the settings to do it when I need it. it should be controlled based on how much and fast you brake.
It’s more so that you can tailor to your ride style but more importantly weight.
A 80kg rider will only need 70% a 120kg will need the full 100%
It’s not a gimmick imo it’s a well thought out will prolong your tyres and safety 😂
Its really nice to have adjustable brake settings on 2in1 boards. It also helps if the 4th setting is too strong with stock setups. When you start to explore other wheel options that may be larger and heavier or may be setup with higher speed smaller pulleys and stock wheels, you will welcome the higher brake setting.
LG cells are a poor choice for EV's in general especially in low voltage (series) / low parallel setups, these cells can produce 15A in their dreams They've been tested around 10-12A without getting real toasty and a measily 40A @ 48V is only 2000 Watt in battery output, which is very low even for Esk8, so they cut a corner on the cells.
7:31 What track is that, who is it by?
@3BAR Found it! Listen at 2x playback speed for that outrun feel. ua-cam.com/video/g-WDe-CVdSg/v-deo.html
