I bought one a couple weeks ago as my first eboard and have ridden it almost every day, it is an absolute blast. I have absolutely nothing to complain about with this board.
Wow, Tynee with the AT wheel Option is a game changer at this level! Hota tire on a street style deck is awesome. Love that dogs hate it as well, super important!
Honestly after covid passed was trying to find a good belt driven board to run kegel pulleys, I wanted to run caguamas. All the other companies took forever to update their line up and not to mention didnt even have the option for kegel pulleys (even tho they had promised for years). I think people often overlook them cause they're the new guys on the block. But I feel Tynee board made the other companies get off their butts to finally update their boards.
Board arrived today. I had no idea about the belts. They seem to have the right amount of flex you mentioned. Thanks for the call out, I'll keep an eye on them!
Hi Scott, love your videos, I watch them all. Just a small clarification regarding the motors: BLDC is a type of electric motor, not a brand. It stands for 'brushless direct current'. The brand of motor in that model is Dongxingwei (usually shortened to DXW), which incidentally is the brand that Evolve use. Looking forward to your next vid! :)
I got an Ultra X Pro a couple weeks ago and it showed up with one of the two belts *way* too tight. There was even shredded belt material on the board on the overtightened side from the factory's 20km freewheel QA test. I let Aiden know, it seems the factory still has improvement needed in this area despite your advocacy. Easy fix, but shame they can't get this right because the board is very nice quality out of the box (except the bushings - dramatic improvement going to Yellow Orangatang Nipples).
I got the AT tires on the old Ultra, do not regret it one bit, but an adjustment to make: very easy for the wheel to bite your toes when hard carving with the board setup. Keep an eye on your foot placement (or maybe tighten the trucks, I ride incredibly loose)
Was considering getting this this week but I'm going with the Tynee Stinger. Better range and I can put onsra 115r wheels on it without my range getting taken down to a low level because it has so much range to spare. Also that carve looks like so much fun on the stinger. I only plan on riding in 25 zones for the most part so for 25 to 30 mph the stinger seems stable. I city ride a lot so that stinger can cut through stopped cars really easy with that sharp turn radius. I can go off a curb if the crosswalk is full of people with the kicktail. And its just more unique than another boosted style longboard. I love carving and 43 degrees trucks that are 9.5 inches WITH double barrels is just not enough carvability for me. I also ride the bus a lot not that a longboards all that much different from a stinger in that sense. The stinger looks perfect I'm just hoping I don't regret not getting a longer board and hoping that I feel safe at 25+ mph. I currently have a wowgo 3e. I put 200 miles on it in 2 weeks and am already upgrading because I need more range and power. I also don't like how the 3e has no convex on the deck so it sags down a lot. I like how the ultra x pro is flat when standing on it and convex when not. I like your videos. It's a good blend of expert eskater and casual rider.
@@Sir-Kay hey 👋 . . I still absolutely love it. Things I’ve learned . . . 1) If you get the pneumatic wheels, take them apart when you get the board. The inner tube was trapped inside the wheels in mine which affected range and blew two tubes in the first week. 2) Get the tyre pressure right and adjust the belts . . added about 3km of range just sorting this. 3) Put the board in eco mode and leave it there. Still loads of power but adds tons to the range. Out of the box I was getting under 20km in range . . with these changes I’ve got just short of 30km!

Great board, done about 90 miles on it. I'm around 200-210 and got 16 miles out of a charge with some speed which is respectable! Definitely lots of power as well when adjusted
So, why all the hate towards the Exway Flex Pro when that's exactly the kinds of rang people get on it yet, they'll say we should get the Tyne or other "more powerful" boards, well, the Tyne isn't doing any better.
@@LocalMids Could you please stop with the short answers please? explain things in details. I was referring to what people generally say about the Exway Flex Pro not you. Hey Scott . . . . just commented on another video (you'll remember it as the longest comment ever) . . . but having just found this video, I think it may have answered my question! Thanks Scott 👍
The style of board combo I've been waiting for! Back when I had a hub motor board, as much as I liked it, Brisbane city is far to rough for it. Literally been waiting out till I can afford a board with good range and AT tyres... Been missing having a board though in the mean time.
Hey Scott . . did you ever range test the Ultra X with the pneumatic tyres on it? I’ve got mine and I live it . . but not getting great range at all. I know it will not get the posted range with the big wheels . . but I only seem to be getting about 12km? Could it be belts too tight???
Belts could be too tight also Leave board in eco mode for more range cuz this board has to much power flowing threw it in any other mode & U can still get high speeds jus takes alil longer to du so..also Pneumatic Tires also Reduce Range ..
Where can one get the spare AT tires tires for the Ultra X board? I know it's 150x50 Sunmate but, I can't seem to find them anywhere, does anyone have the Aliexpress link to them? and does the Ultra X board have cruise control? if yes, how do I activate it?
@@scottdaviesyoutube I'm thinking as a last mile commuter type of thing, love the stability of the ultra x but the stinger also looks like a ton of fun with how carvy it is.

@@scottdaviesyoutube I have a question that maybe you could help with. I got my Tynee Ultra and have been learning to ride it in a car park (30 years since I last rode a skateboard). Hey Scott, I'm in Brisbane. I'm not a very good rider but I would like to join you some time. It will force me to get out and go ride some new paths and areas I haven't been yet.
Scott looks like the best deal on the market. What are the advantages compared to explorer given the difference in cost of about $300? Is the difference in ride and power worth the extra money to explorer?
If all these questions could be answered, it'd help potential buyers avoid certain products & buy the right one for them but, since most reviewers get these boards sent to them for free, they ride it in one afternoon, pack it & send it back & move on to the next one, no long term review whatsoever, which makes most of these reviews fictitious.
Can't imagine your range would be that good with AT wheels with that size battery. That would be my concern with this board. Also with street wheels with these size motors i would imagine you would have to run at least 100mm wheels
I bought one of these boards and it is excellent in most respects. Coming from human/gravity powered boards it is surprising just how heavy this eskate is, and this is a lighter one, so I see why it is an issue. Even still, I’m disappointed in the range. I ran it out of battery in less than 8 miles today. I should’ve bought a heavier board with more range. Live and learn!
Pneumatics will kill your range with that battery. Ride in range mode for Pneumatics. Pump up your tires to get more range. Alternatively, cloudwheel rovers 110mm better range for decent grip and more comfort than street wheels. For ultimate range use 105mm street wheels. Keep rollin
I would still rather pay a bit more for a bigger battery, I have seen other boards that have a couple hundred more watt hours And also charge much faster too. They've had those features then it would be perfect
My bad if I missed it but I dont recall you mentioning the 'flex' of the deck. Is it as flexy as the OG Ultra? Otherwise, looks like good - great beginner board
