OMFG!! I just discovered this guy today, and he reminded me a bit of my favorite singer, Damien Rice mixed with a little Passenger, so I thought I'd search "Keaton Henson Damien Rice" in hopes of finding something, idk, and I find this GEM of a cover. My life has been made complete.
Keaton's voice is so sweet, makes me think of everything and everyone that i ever cared for ... he puts his soul in the songs, it makes you close your eyes and the only thing you can do is cry ... i love him so much
We might kiss when we are alone When nobody's watching We might take it home We might make out when nobody's there It's not that we're scared It's just that it's delicate So why do you fill my sorrow With the words you've borrowed From the only place you've known And why do you sing Hallelujah If it means nothing to you Why do you sing with me at all? We might live like never before When there's nothing to give Well how can we ask for more We might make love in some sacred place The look on your face is delicate So why do you fill my sorrow With the words you've borrowed From the only place you've known And why do you sing Hallelujah If it means nothing to you Why do you sing with me at all? So why do you fill my sorrow With the words you've borrowed From the only place you've known And why do you sing Hallelujah If it means nothing to you Why do you sing with me at all?
Años escuchándola, y siempre he sentido esa misma sensación de que esa voz puede llegar a cambiar vidas, gran cover! Damian Rice debería de estar orgulloso de esto.
I am so glad he did a cover of this song! My favourite artist featured on In The Flesh and one of my favourite songs featured on Misfits. I love the two of them and here they are together! Brilliant!
Thank you Matt. I admit I was a little uncertain whether Keaton could realize a nice cover to Damien's "Delicate." Five seconds in and all my concerns melted way. Beautiful.
All three are phenomenal artists. It's great to know that I'm not alone in loving all three. They all do something I can't explain. I so badly want to explain it but no words could really be able to make anyone understand how much their music affects me. So I'm going to shut up and let my hungry ears listen to their spell-binding songs and let them carry into the furthest galaxies of my imagination. Au revoir.
But now you've got both of the things you wanted! He covered Delicate for you, but later he also covered Hallelujah (I think you can find it on Tumblr somewhere)
Keaton Henson is my favourite artist. And I mean 'artist', which includes singer, songwriter, beautiful soul, the whole persona, and did I mention that voice and talent and lyrics, and oh my gosh, maybe it's good he's not as popular as POP stars because he is precious and my soul loves his soul.
Oooof....man.....I saw the title and I thought, "I don't know if I've got the strength to listen to this." But obviously I had to. So I braced myself. Now, I appreciate the upload of this amazing piece of music, but you could at least offer to pay me back some of the thousand man points I've lost!! (that's one man point per tear.) ((not to infer that men are in any way emotionally stronger than women, just an expression.))
So why do you fill my sorrow With the words you've borrowed From the only place you've known And why do you sing Hallelujah If it means nothing to you Why do you sing with me at all?
I know what you mean! I felt the same way about Damien Rice and Ray Lamontagne then I found out that they did a duet on French telly. Hope for the future?
I imagine it is a die (singular of dice). each person to order the new EP got one and a tshirt etc. but one person only, received a "lucky" one which entitled them to request a song for Keaton to sing. The uploader is the lucky guy to get the die and so chose this song for Keaton to cover. Hope this helps
Reading all the comments made me excited to hear the end when Damien hits that high part. What a let down. Yes talented but this has NOTHING on the original
I can definitely see what you mean. Not everyone can sing with that kind of power/range but when someone covers a vocally strong song I kind of expect them to step up their game try to put on a performance worthy of the original. That being said I thought Keaton did a fantastic job. Definitely could have been improved by a some oomph on the last chorus the way that most people with bigger voices usually do it but Keaton doesn't have a big voice and I'm not going to fault him for staying within his range.
+msfattytroll I think the point of a cover is to make it your own. How many other Keaton Henson songs have that big outro? I don't think there's many, If any. He's not Damian and he isn't trying to be. Just enjoy it man.
+Daryl Parkin I love Keaton, "To Your Health" is probably one of my favorite songs of all time. That being said, his strength is as a songwriter not really a singer. And be honest, he didn't really make this song his own. He did it at near the same tempo with the same chords and he sang the quiet parts just like the original.
Saw him live twice last year. He is lovely. Very gentle and well... 'delicate'
He made me cry twice.
you are a lucky one!

My second favourite artist singing a song of my favourite one. God loves me.
Words cannot describe the beauty of this cover
_Keaton Henson is horribly underrated_
I love your user name.
Kristen Kelly Thanks
But that is kinda good innit?
Definitely
Not anymore i guess:)
Keaton's voice is so sweet, makes me think of everything and everyone that i ever cared for ... he puts his soul in the songs, it makes you close your eyes and the only thing you can do is cry ... i love him so much
Yes!You described it perfectly. I can't listen to his music without tearing up.
I fucking knew it. He and Damien have a lot of similarities.
He killed this. I love Damien Rice, and I'm glad I found an artist kinda like him. :)
He would leave a very delicate quality of making people wonder that there is something beyond our tiny heads. Things that connects everything
We might kiss when we are alone
When nobody's watching
We might take it home
We might make out when nobody's there
It's not that we're scared
It's just that it's delicate

Ahhhg my favorite artist covering my other favorite artists song ! My brain can't handle this !
I cant believe i just found this, my heart stopped when i read the title, what a song and what a voice to cover it.
Años escuchándola, y siempre he sentido esa misma sensación de que esa voz puede llegar a cambiar vidas, gran cover! Damian Rice debería de estar orgulloso de esto.
im so weak for this kind of voice... its so raw
@kaylie check out bright eyes :)
I am so glad he did a cover of this song! My favourite artist featured on In The Flesh and one of my favourite songs featured on Misfits. I love the two of them and here they are together! Brilliant!
Damn, I always wondered who was the lucky one. You are truly a wonderful person for sharing the gift you were given.
This song is enough to make a dead man cry. Always will be my favorite song. Good cover also
Thank you so much for sharing this! The bit at the beginning ('Cheers, Matthew!') is just so heart-warming.
Great cover, almost like Damien himself. Thanks Keaton to share your voice with us, has been a honor.
Glad you won, Damien and Keaton are two of my favorites. Thanks for sharing.
I've never thought that I'd like this particular song other than Damien's version, for I adore him, now I've got another favourite real artist

Haunting, beautiful cover. Nothing beats the original but this comes damn close. Keaton Henson cannot do wrong in my eyes.

We need more artist to cover Damien Rice's work, it's so wonderful and, let's say, Delicate ;) Great choice btw, I adore this cover
Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful piece of music. And may I say that you chose the perfect song for Keaton to cover ! Thanks again !
I literally got goosebumps.
the only crossover I've ever desired in my entire life
Esto es hermoso... Amo su voz.
Oh gosh, Keaton covering Damien? This is my dream come true! They're my two favorite male singers.
Mr Keaton Henson , comment faites vous ? ? ? ? , toutes vos musiques sont SUBLIMES ! ! !
Thank you Matt. I admit I was a little uncertain whether Keaton could realize a nice cover to Damien's "Delicate." Five seconds in and all my concerns melted way. Beautiful.
THIS IS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE. CAN'T HANDLE THE FACT THAT KEATON IS SINGING A DAMIEN SONG, GOSH.
All three are phenomenal artists. It's great to know that I'm not alone in loving all three.
They all do something I can't explain. I so badly want to explain it but no words could really be able to make anyone understand how much their music affects me.

That was beautiful.
i believe keaton just makes the tune as good as damien. lovely, thank you for this
perfect perfect perfect. perfect original and perfect cover. just amazing
Increible.
But now you've got both of the things you wanted! He covered Delicate for you, but later he also covered Hallelujah (I think you can find it on Tumblr somewhere)

Instant goosebumps
Your selflessness is wonderful. Thanks very much!
this is so beautiful

Thank you so much for sharing this. You're the best.
Thank you so much for uploading this
This is possibly the most beautiful song ever....
Thank you so much for sharing this gem..
What a deep sound.
"It's delicate." So appropriate for Keaton.
Not the same amount of heart and emotion Damien put into this song, that indefinite feeling of love and bitterness all mixed into 1.
This may be one of the best things ive ever heard
Wow this is beautiful, thanks for sharing! :')
delicate
I thank you for choosing delicate
Love!
this is beautiful :(
thanks a lot!!!
you're an angel to me!!!
That passion bro

OHMYGOD THIS EXISTS
Thanks! I'm glad that you agree! Greetings from US/UK! :D

I know what you mean! I felt the same way about Damien Rice and Ray Lamontagne then I found out that they did a duet on French telly. Hope for the future?
Oh good choice!
Thank you so much.
this is perfection. and that isn't even hyperbolic ok.
Good choice, man. I was worried someone would choose Hallelujah, haha.
I almost did, but Rice's work won out in the end!
Glad that you like it!
very nice but I would love to hear him do any of Leonard Cohen's songs
Thanks!
Got me.
cheers, Matthew.
Thank you for your kind words!

Yeah, I would still love for him to cover "Hallelujah" albeit more in the style of Buckley than Cohen.
Wow.. I totally forgot what it was I was meant to be doing while this was playing.
i don't get the wooden die story... what are wooden dies? and what did the owners of the other wooden dies do? i'm sorry for being stupid
damien rice is the best!!! Keaton just good :P

+Supergirl9909 of course I know what a cover is. It's when a 12 year old responds to a UA-cam comment that he/she obviously didn't comprehend
can i please marry him?
