American Fireworks Warehouse Tour!

- American Wholesale Fireworks got a new, massive warehouse for their wholesale operations and they were kind enough to let me take a tour! Come along as we check out many products including assortments, novelties, pro-line fireworks, shells, and cakes! I last visited American Wholesale in 2021 and at that time, their wholesale product was stored completely in shipping containers. Orders would be picked and moved to a nearby warehouse for packaging. Now, they purchased this existing warehouse and converted it for firework storage! They had to put in additional fire barrier walls for Ohio compliance purposes, which they now use to separate their facility to keep like items in the same sections. Of the four sections, one entire section was only pro-line items including all of your favorites from many different manufacturers. The middle two sections contained novelties, assortments, shells, and 200g cakes while the last section was primarily 500g cakes! We saw many manufacturers in stock including Raccoon, Winda, Wizard, Bright Star, Brothers, Spirit of 76, Sky Bacon, Magnus, MagValue, Happy Family, Sky Painter, Riakeo, BoomWow, T-Sky, Miracle, Super Fireworks, Dominator, Pyro High, Mad Ox, World Class, Cutting Edge, Monkey Mania, Boomer, Legend, JD Fireworks, Red Lantern, Sunwing, Hammer & Anvil, Black Scorpion, Pyro Fortune, Pyro Planet, Tannerite, Firehawk, Supreme, and their house brand Heavyweight... and those are just the ones I remember seeing!

Joel that was a great warehouse tour of AWF and I do purchase most of my fireworks online but I have yet to get anything from AWF. I plan on changing that next year so thank you for sharing this video with us.

Sad that AWF ran out of Nishiki Mine by Raccoon due to the New Years sale. I was really wanting to order a case to use as part of my 4th of July grand finale this year. 😞💥

Huh, that is a really good question. I still see on their website that pickups are going through the Hudson location. Which would mean they would have to truck them over there. I'm assuming it's an administrative thing since their offices are still in Hudson.
@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics I still got mine in Hudson this year but that was a couple months ago now. Not sure if the new place was in operation yet. Definitely seems like a far better setup than the old shipping containers! I look forward to seeing how inventory changes with all the new space.

I love AWF because I can order consumer items by the piece from them. I don't do pro - so no opinion on that pricing. Taking advantage of their periodic % off sales, and you really can't beat AWF for piece price in OH at the macro level. Phantom is their really only "retail" competition in the State. Since firework shipping is not allowed in OH by State law unless you hold a State exhibitor license, absent a willingness to drive out of state to pick-up an order from another online competitor, AWF sort of has a price moat around it for OH customers buying by the piece (or case). That said, you can still "pick your spot" with smart in-state shopping. I have found that Springfield Fireworks in Bluffton, OH is almost always better for case pricing on Winda and Brothers than AWF, and WFBoom (Wholesale Fireworks) in Hubbard, OH also has very good case pricing within the brands they carry.

They do sell 1.3 stuff, but that can't be stored in a warehouse like this.
They should open up a store there also closer to the Cleveland area.

You're right, I do! It's actually very small compared to the Firework Superstore though. The Superstore is over double the size of Boomland.
Where do companies who shoot off city displays go to get 6" through 20" shells that they sprinkle throughout their shows?
Those display companies import from China. However, in most states it is rare to see many shows light larger than 10" shells these as China has reduced what size shells they are willing to produce. Those companies of course are licensed to import, store, and shoot 1.3 fireworks. American actually does this too and I'll have a video on one of their show preps soon!

That's because everything is selling like crazy! They also got two new containers since I recorded this video.

@@BrianPeppers42 Keep in mind, I didn't record this video this week, so it's not that it's an accurate reflection of current inventory, more a behind the scenes on how they have their warehouse set up.

I use to buy from there but when a case of canister shells is $300.00 from them and I can get it for $200.00 no thanks they need to lower it plus they lied about my discount on a order.
Happened to me, looked at spirits gold pricing and went with them. But usually American is pretty good
Which pricing tier are you in? I find their pricing is on par or better than other wholesalers.
@@PyroRus I’m in their gold tier, but I bought $4,200 worth and they had promos going where they were giving cases away, probably to move product. But I got around $800-$1000 in free product. Gold is 25% lower than silver.
