I'm disappointed to an extent. Mainly because the dialogue kept going from righteous to secular and I saw a strain on the brother Amir to force the secular portion of the dialogue because he isn't a part of the dunya anymore. It's almost like good and evil talking about the good ol days. I also wanted to hear more on the difference between Sunni Islam and what Jamar practices. I just wanted more from this dialogue 🤷🏾♂️
God knows best all i can say to each his own the brother got spotlight been had people of all lifestyle in his case he'll need to move out of the country i wouldn't want that his hood needs him he's the light around them brothers
I totally agree. But me being a Muslim, i can tell you that Jamar doesn't want to debate with this brother at all when it comes to REAL Islam. LOL because what he is following is not righteous at all. It's old teachings from the NOI that Elijah Muhammad took out of the teachings and on of his members Clarence X who strayed off and got kicked out for doing foolishness. He took those old teachings and created a spin off with the younger generation and you see how that movement went. Look up Imam Warith deen Muhammad. Elijah Muhammad son when a Prison guard asked him his thoughts about The 5% nation. Gonna blow you away. lol

Loon has a ton of other interviews where he dives deep into faith. I highly recommend you watch the others. This was terrible because Jamar and Godfrey arent articulate dudes.

You can tell the difference in the mindset of a Muslim and how dear our religion is to us with brother Amir, compared to Jamar and what he believes. They should have stayed on topic of what Amir is about
Jamar is a non-Believer but he's one of my favorites. Islam has had a positive influence on him and he's one of the most conscious and pro-black people in hip hop history.

Great interview. Amir is a good dude and as a fellow Muslim convert, I'm happy for him. But he was buggin' on the ghostwriter stuff. It contradicts Islamic principles too. People can't change the foundations of a culture. They can change the rules & norms but that perverts and corrupts it. Islam has tons of sects and scholars who dictate what Islam should be and the Qur'an condemned that. Hip-hop isn't a democracy just because capitalism dictates what fans accept. Hip-hop is about making money and being hard now, but it started about bringing people in NYC together and then about promoting peace and black consciousness. That trumps anything later like the Qur'an dictates any hadiths or sects that came later.
Islam is the truth.
