God uses graphic pictures to show the importance of the blood covenant. BUT Christianity needs to get to the next level even as Judaism does: BLOOD represents DESIRE and the blood of God is not ANIMATE but the LIGHT that is the LIFE OF MAN: Mankind's red blood is the creature and represents the desire FOR life and Gods blood is the answer, the white light that fills the desire: Though your sins be as scarlet they will be white as snow, linen, wool. He removes our sins (desires for the animal he put us into at the fall) from EAST (Babylon) to west (where the Sun and Son go down together into the inner darkness and make that covenant exchange): Here the covenant meal can not be taken lightly anymore. Here, at the end of your desires, you grasp the DESIRE OF THE HOLY ONE and he becomes your LIFE on a conscious level; Now you have a way to continually fill your desire with his GOOD WILL, his desire to bring TRUE ABUNDANT LIFE and pleasure to your soul.
I don't like the way this guy started this sermon on such a sacrilegious note about a very sacred subject - the Blood of Christ. The sacred scripture about the animal being cut into pieces is NOT strange and no, I don't like the comment about his mother "slinging blood everywhere". No, it's no funny. I won't listen to the rest of the sermon, although it may be good. I'll listen again to Charles Lawson's sermon on the Blood and Salvation.
