Never thought of the electric toothbrush!! I feel so stupid! Haha. Been scrubbing with my “Colgate” dollar store tooth brush these past couple years. Great idea!! Thank you!!! Love this community and how people all have so many helpful tips. Will def be watching the video you recommended on water changes. Absolutely hate the refilling water by using gallon water jugs many trips back n forth from kitchen to tanks as python, etc. does not fit my kitchen faucet.
@@maureenk-farmhousecharms903 If you are looking for a possible solution to making a faucet to hose setup I found a way that might also work on 1 of your faucets . Lasco -male rubber push on faucet hose adaptor - DO IT BEST Hardware in stock $7.00 Hopefully this will bring you the solution & start doing the quick water changes again ..💙💚
Depending on the size of the tank, a submersible pump is very helpful. In my experience -- my display tank is 65 U.S. gallons -- a pump is a lot faster than relying on flow to gravity. You can also avoid lugging buckets around by using a pump. UA-cam has a least a few videos on how the process works.
I don't want to speak for Jurijs, but I do know he's been super busy with his work at Dennerle Plants. He and I are in the process of strategizing some ways where I may be able to pick up some of the backend work that goes into publishing vids to help get him back on a consistent schedule. As you can imagine there's so much to making vids and publishing them. Between production, editing, and publishing I put about 12 hours/week into my own channel. Hope to get Jurijs back on schedule soon though! 🙂
@@LoganRandoAquascaping I totally understand. Glad he is well and looking forward to seeing his return. Thank you for responding and thank you for your content too! 😀
Mine doesn't have high levels. I dechlor directly in the tank after opening the tap. If you have very high levels you might want to consider treating outside the tank but I've never lived with water like that
I love the short curved sissors from ADA as I think they are probably the most versatile pair out there!
I definitely need a pair of those in my life!
you can use a magnet to pick up bits of aqua soil out of your sand beds. learning that has been a game changer for me. love the content man
Ah yes! The magnet trick is brilliant 👌🏼
Great list! Maybe I should upgrade to an electric toothbrush 🤔
It’s really nice for scrubbing algae ridden hardscape

Definitely, if you're not filling from the tap, a pump can help automate water changes and make them painless
Love the video and all the info. Glad to hear you mention your friend Jurijs..... what has happened to him? He is not putting anymore content out?

But how do you put tapwater directly into your tank? Doesn’t it have chlorine in it?
