Recently bought some recommended stocks and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?

Just ''buy the dip'' man. In the long term it will payoff. High interest rates usually mean lower stock prices, however investors should be cautious of the bull run, its best you connect with a well-qualified adviser to meet your growth goals and avoid blunder

It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to around $750k.

Apt!! I was self-managing my portfolio but suffered heavy losses in 2022 and i knew i couldn't continue like that, so i consulted a fiduciary advisor. By restructuring and diversifying my $1.2M portfolio with dividend-paying stocks, ETFs, Mutual funds and REITs, I significantly boosted my portfolio, achieving an annualized gain of 28%.

Hi Paul, i noticed your "chasing googly-moogly" stock. I know you are far more experienced than I will ever be, but I wanted to share with you my approach to great companies. Instead of chasing googly all the time, just close your eyes and press the trigger. (a few pieces of stock are enough for the start). It doesn't matter what the current price is. In the end, you will be incredibly glad that you started, and that you own such a great company. Your second advantage will be that you can always buy more when the price drops below your average. It's a win-win. Chasing 5-10 dollars (5-10% sale) really doesn't make sense, you're investing for tens of years anyway.

I would argue that Ferrari is not a moat. The Ford GT and Lamborgini made movies how their supercars were built to compete with Ferrari. A couple years ago, GM introduced the C8 Corvette supercar which blows the Ferrari F8 out of the water. The C8 does 0-60 in 2.6 seconds, while the F8 does 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, the C8 looks like a better supercar, and at a quarter of the price---the C8s start at $69K vs $284K for an F8. Ferrari's P/E is 80 vs GM's P/E of 5. It's even twice the P/E of Tesla. If you want a moat, the C8 is a moat because no one else can build a supercar like that for the price. Ferrari is just hype stock. The Tesla 3 Performance trim also does 0-60 in 2.9 for $55K, but it's in a different category though and the body looks horrible.

That way there can be a little bit more accountability and trust. Otherwise the daily video to gain clicks and revenue from youtube channel grows tired. Seem like descent guys but in my mind your making more $ on these videos then on the market.
