I guess he kind of eludes to some reasons, so I'd like to get more information or possible songs that would be considered a good example of the two different camps...

The beat was written by EM, called 'Stan's Revenge', hence produced by EMINEM. Tom bought the NFT for 100K and used it to say thank you to his idol.

Written is kinda weard word for doing the instrumental aka as you said produced the track. Yes he took it in auction. To add, when he bought it, there was A LOT of talk like uu he must've done it to make a diss to Em's own beat and all that kinda nonsense when in all reality it was quite unlikely if looking a bit under the surface of it all. Also for rapper not being able to be truulytruly independent if you don't suprise, bring something new to the table (and maybe provoke in some ways).
I didn't know what he's going to do but was more so thinking he's propably going to rap his ass off without as much of say an political angle just to showcase his talent on an Em beat and atleast give Some homage/wordplay towards Eminem. I was also thinking it might be just homage to Em but didn't know from which direction that could be smart to approach exactly for it to hit the right vibe (the Stan approach was smart choice). Mainly because yes their views and outlook on life are very differend (and Tom raps A Lot about those things) but they have had same problems as heavy addiction for example and it just is clear he must apprechiate Eminem's talent as you can hear little traces of influence say flow wise (hence why I tought it will be quite weard if he just does a diss track even tho he do use a lot of the, people will hate watch or love watch no matter what angle.. and a beef with Em would go into that and give huge views but it would be too obvious and kinda break the mold what he says he represents)(It also just wouldn't be wise to start a battle with Em not only for Em's talent but his fans, since so many decide Em he has won before he has even rapped so it might alienate some of your own fans).

If you search Eminem's NFT Auction you can find the auction, and the winning bid was from Tom MacDonald for $100,000. So Tom bought the NFT then used it to give Marshall the flowers he deserves. #HangOverGang

If you didnt know already, Tom released a Pop song, yes pop, and it went to #1 on iTunes but in the days to follow he became the first Independent Rap Artist to have a #1 Pop song on Billboards! The song is Ghost. I thought it was ironic the name you mentioned early in this reaction was Ghost. 👍👍
Royce gave Tom a shout out saying that they didn't agree with Tom's politics but that they had no beef with Tom. That's as much of a "cool song" as the Em camp every gives and more than most.
You should check out No life shaq's reaction to this song. Tom Macdonald is actually in the video with him, reacting too. It's kind of like an interview with Tom about making this video/song. He explains a lot. It's a good watch. :)

An extremely fun fact about this video : look at the car.
It’s not the EXACT car from the Stan video, but it’s the same make, model and year.
Tom is incredibly DIY. He and his girlfriend do all their recording and production, just the two of them. And Tom went to a junkyard, hunted down that car, fixed it up and painted it to be exactly like the car from Eminem’s video - to create the most accurate homage possible.

I feel the same. I grew up with Metallica, didn't start listening to Eminem until I was 40, and I was amazed, surprised and touched by the incredible mind behind the amazing songs he has shared with us.
It was produced by Eminem, however not for Tom Macdonald. It came up for sale and Tom purchased it and then wrote this for it.

a has a bunch of political songs and songs about race too and those are what make some people angry at him. in my experience most of those people haven't even actually listened to what was said because the message in those songs is always about unity... or maybe that is what makes some people angry and they just didn't want to tell me.

The irony of this reaction is that you fell into the trap.

Politically incorrect is a Tom song that describes his view that goes against the current social narrative - I honestly don’t understand the hate he gets - when I read the hate comments I can tell you that they are filled with false statements and some lyrics (usually out of context) - as you seem older, as am I, you would probably recognize that although people call him conservative he’s actually somewhere in the “historic” middle but in recent years the line has shifted so vastly that he seems to the right.

As an artist, Tom is better than Eminem. Most people don't know most of Tom's best music on his CDs or his older stuff. People are just too stupid or purposely ignorant to understand Tom, similar to how most people don't like jazz or classical music for the same reasons. Actually if you listen to some of ems lyrics, they're actually pretty stupid, but he gets a pass because of who he is.

Tom has a lot of politcal songs that pander to the right. That's where a lot of the division comes in. In last couple years most of the singles he's released has been on that front, and the core messaging is how we're all brainwashed.
Which is fine if that's how you align your views.
I will give him props on Church and Cancer (Cancer video is crushing), Church especially is a fantastic song. Most of his other songs I don't care for. His comparisons of himself to Em in this song are a definite reach. His "controversies" are no where near on the level Em's were back in the late 90s and early 2000s.

He's not a grifter. Tom's fans are legit and not manufactured like a lot of the mainstream artists. He has made it without any assistance. He's topping the billboard charts and he just made history by being the first Independent to get #1 with a pop song. #1 in all genres also. He has over a Billion views on UA-cam.

Most mainstream artists have a relatively varied demographic, with purposely vague and boring themes to appeal to a lot of people, a lot of people conditioned into only wanting "a tight beat and a catchy hook".
Tom sells propaganda rather than music, so it sells well to anyone indoctrinated. Criticising mainstream artists for selling to "sheep" is the same criticism you can give Tom, except most mainstream artists have some talent and musical ability. I'd rather listen to Aitch for the rest of my life than have to listen to Macdonald repeat fox news talking points again.
