I get that Pelosi is trying to get more money for people and it makes the bill more enticing for people who are flat broke, it was very much so when we were still in the early stages, but now it's been almost 7 months with no support and 4 months for unemployed who didnt make over $100 in unemployment. SOME PEOPLE didnt even recieve unemployment extensions and the first stimulus check they had a right to.

As you might recall (?), the spring payments to a lot of people were delayed before because Baby Don insisted on having HIS signature, rather than that of a Treasury Department disbursing officer, on the check. She is definitely ridiculing his motivation to hurry up and get something rushed through now after so much inaction. Her motivation, however, is to make sure that the bill is written in a way that gets relief to people who are suffering, and to the state and local agencies that can best serve them, rather than to be a handout to rich people and corporations.
