Great video! A quick question. I know a desktop PC is the way to go. But in your opinion, is a decent M1 MacBook sufficient enough to learn the basics before going all in? Thank you!
No worries, hope it helps you out with your C4D career;) loads more tutorials and C4D resources at cgshortcuts.com (you can also get help directly with your projects).
I've known Cinema 4d since version 4. LOL. My wife always had a teacher's license. C4D is really easy to learn. There was no YT back then either! I mostly used it for architectural visualization. (I'm a plasterer by trade.) Later, I also made cartoons and a few videos for songs that had images and scenes in my head that were different to the videos on MTV. Since the first PIXAR things, I've been totally fascinated by computer animations. I always lived with C4D as a hobby and never thought about working in this field. I wasn't really good enough for that. ;-) But it's still great fun to spend time with C4D. I can only recommend that everyone get involved with it.
Hey @Mooncakealive, Appreciate you sharing your story-it’s always great to hear from someone with so much experience and passion for C4D. It’s awesome how you’ve stuck with it and found so many creative ways to use it over the years. Totally agree-C4D is such a rewarding tool to spend time with. Thanks for the encouragement for others to dive in!
I cant say I've ever used it, I do mostly 3D stuff so I'd rather use the full version of C4D, and these days I prefer Davinci Resolve for comping over AE
Thank you so much, this has been super helpful and insightful

Very Helpful video always! Please what software do you use for the Illustrations of "How To Get Work" starting from 19:42
Thanks
No fancy software at all, I actually just screen recorded writing in a blank photoshop canvas and used that as a mask in AE, I might do a tutorial
@CGShortcuts ohhh that's very smart 🤓. Pls do a tutorial if you're chanced. Thanks 👍

Will I be able to make something like this with the same technique?
Can you please make a video on Cinema 4D Lite that comes together with After Effects?

do i need xparticle to do sand or liquid sims after 2025 update in c4d
You can probably do sand with the inbuilt particle system, liquids not so much - X-particles, realflow or externaly in liquigen
I wonder if it makes sense to work with a GTX card in Cinema 4d ;-)?
It should still work but RTX is faster
@@CGShortcuts ok
