I think it would be really cool if they had the D2 tournament early and the nation champion could go on and play in the D1 tournament as like a 16 seed or something
I remember being at the elite eight and final four round of this tournament. I go to the college just outside of the Evansville area and was there to support USI (University of Southern Indiana) who lost to point loma in the final four. USI’s’s campus is located less than 5 miles away from where this game was played at. Have they been in the championship game, I guarantee that the Ford Center would’ve been nothing but red white and blue.
