Front facing yes.. rear facing would be very tight depending on how far back you normally have either the driver or passenger seat. With so many different sizes/styles it would be hard to guarantee it would fit. Your best bet is to take your car seat to your local dealer and try placing it rear facing
It's unfortunate but as the size of the vehicle gets smaller a few things have to be sacrificed. Ford should be launching the Maverick in the next year or two which will hopefully be different than the F150 and Ranger!
I'm honestly surprised of the lack of standard features the Ranger is missing compared to the Tacoma or colorado, is especially at the higher trims. Maybe they'll add more stuff next year.
@@CarsWithSteve Tacoma has an auto rear window, adaptive cruise control, and a touchscreen head unit as standard. I believe the colorado has the same on their base truck as well. Weird features to be missing, but maybe they'll add them next year if the demand is there.
@@goingindieEN Ah that power sliding rear window! Not available on any trims on the Ranger but I'll add it to the list of things to bug Ford about. Adaptive cruise is available in the tech package which would also give a forward sensing system and factory navigation. Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab TRD Sport Premium (to get the leather seats) is $46,930 CAD vs Ranger Lariat 501a at $47,855 CAD Looking at the Tacoma you'd also be able to get a moonroof which the Ranger won't have. Does the back seat allow for 2 car seats - one forward facing and one rear facing?
Front facing yes.. rear facing would be very tight depending on how far back you normally have either the driver or passenger seat.
With so many different sizes/styles it would be hard to guarantee it would fit. Your best bet is to take your car seat to your local dealer and try placing it rear facing
Disappointed that the rear floor is not flat like the F150. Not good for pets.
Curious, what are some features that you see in the Tacoma or Colorado that are missing in the Ranger?
@@CarsWithSteve Tacoma has an auto rear window, adaptive cruise control, and a touchscreen head unit as standard. I believe the colorado has the same on their base truck as well. Weird features to be missing, but maybe they'll add them next year if the demand is there.
@@goingindieEN Ah that power sliding rear window! Not available on any trims on the Ranger but I'll add it to the list of things to bug Ford about. Adaptive cruise is available in the tech package which would also give a forward sensing system and factory navigation.
Just scoped out the Toyota build/price and it looks like the pricing on these things is almost the same if you add in the 501a on the Ranger to get that tech package. Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab TRD Sport Premium (to get the leather seats) is $46,930 CAD vs Ranger Lariat 501a at $47,855 CAD
Looking at the Tacoma you'd also be able to get a moonroof which the Ranger won't have. I'm actually surprised how closely priced these 2 were
@@CarsWithSteve For both high level trims to be close in price is surprising. I expected the Ford to be more expensive. Maybe it’s because I’m used to F150 prices.
@@goingindieEN Was thinking the same thing.. went through the build and price options for all the trims to make sure there wasn't something I was missing!
I tried watching.... the hand movement was a little too much for me. Good luck with your channel
Thanks for the feedback Antonio. I've heard from a few people that the hand movements can be distracting so I'm working on a new style of video to change that
you talk faster than I can listen
Try turning the playback speed down to 0.75%
Wow, a brand-new truck in the dealership, al full of salt underneath!
The dealership salts heavily to prevent slippage in the winter 🤷
I bought this truck. I loved it until I drove it more than 1 hr at a time. My butt and legs go completely numb. I've tried adding seat cushions it hasn't helped so far I'm so disappointed to pay nearly $40,000 for a vehicle and literally it hurts me to drive it. I'm so disappointed in the seats love everything else about the truck. They are so hard and they squeeze your butt like a vise
Ohh interesting Kelly.. It's unfortunate that the issue didn't come up when you were test driving the truck. It could be worth looking into a massage pad for your seat!
Glad to hear that you're enjoying it otherwise though
The biggest flaw of this car is the steering wheel. The disk space is too small.
Lol you don't need to post the same comment on each Ranger video I put out
The hands..... I stopped watching because of the annoying car salesman hands.
Lol what a reason
