It is harder on my Supersport than the mt09 for me. Clearly the Supersport has lots of weight at the front and is also longer between the wheels. The mt09 is more compact, lighter(specially at the front) and has torque come a bit sooner. I've been able to lift the mt09 in second gear a few times with no clutch at all, it is very difficult, but I'm not sure it is possible at all on the Supersport, only in first gear, also I find the Supersport throttle response very slow compared to yamaha, it takes time to get used to.
Nice work. I also think its good advice to start with power up wheelies, clutching it up when your learning is asking for a loop out. My 1199 has done allot of miles, I’m a little apprehensive about shifting from 1st to 2nd in a wheelie as it can land in neutral sometimes which brings it down hard. So, I tend to start in 2nd and switch to third. Your much newer Super Sport gear box seems tighter and more refined.
Yeah I’ve learned all about that experience of 1st to neutral haha I still do it every now and then. The super sport doesnt have quite enough torque to really pop it up in second like your 1199 I’m sure. I need to try it more. I agree, clutching it can really mess you up lol I’ve just avoided it completely
I might have missed it but you forgot to mention to cover your rear brake in case you need to bring the wheel back down quickly. Great vid. Wish I had as much torque on my 18 R6.
great tutorial, nice history lesson, great video! i do not own a supersport but considering to buy it. love the looks and engine of the bike. Will you upgrade to the akrapovic dual exhaust? that exhaust is just perfect for the supersport
I have wheelie'd my 939 and road it out in 1st gear. but I have never tried to continue it into second gear. I don't have a quick shifter. and I'm also old and I'm not a risk taker anymore like I would be if I was your age. just having my front wheel a foot off the ground in 1st is enough for me for some occasional enjoyment.
Finally ..... A youtuber who can actually wheelie teaching newbies how to wheelie. Only clicked on this to laugh at yet another knob pretending to have skills but was pleasently surprised. well done sir
I have recently bought a Ducati Supersport 2017. I am wondering if there is DWC setting on it? I couldn’t find it. Can you tell me the settings that I need to put to do a wheelie? Is it low DTC and something else?
So I tried it and it didn’t seem to pick up for me. I turned off the DWC and have it on sports mode. Might be a dumb question but am I supposed to try and pick up the bike while accelerating? (Like how you would on a bicycle?) Bc when I’m at 5krpm and rev it up I don’t feel bike the front tire dropping back down so I’m assuming it’s not picking up
Saludos, no hablo el idioma pero se entiende a la perfección tengo una monster 950 y es Justo lo que estaba buscando muchas gracias 😊
I have a 950ss, had heard wheelies were difficult but clearly not! Havnt taken DWC off yet....
Keep the Supersport vids coming!
Will do, thanks for watching!

Thanks for this hi quality video, the most amazing microphone on any bike out there. Greetings from Romania
Thank you very much! Cool to see the video reach you in your area, thanks for watching!

That happens to me very often. Going from 1st to 2nd i often land in neutral & i hate it, kills my mood. I ride a 21 Ducati Diavel 1260s

Very true! I did forget to mention this, thank you!

Can't wait to try this tomorrow

That’s more than what most can do! I love it
ok main thing about wheelie is pre workout
Hahahahahhha
I really like your style creating these vids bro, keep goin! You think I can wheelie the Honda CBR 650r ? Greetings
Thank you!! I would say you definitely can. I’d recommend learning a clutch up on that though
The cbr650r requires alot of rev and clutch to get up but its possible. Just don’t forget to turn off HTC
Cool video, I’ve been trying to wheelie my new monster 950 but cannot be consistent so will try your way;)
Thank you, let me know how it goes! Good luck

Aye! I appreciate sir! Thank you for not roasting me lol
Nice video that's history listen love bike never rode sports bike few harleys too heavy then lupus hit me in 30s
Its the most gym bro thing to take pre workout before riding a bike😂
It is 🤣
What are you filming with and picking up audio with?? I have a GoPro and ride and would like to add clear commentary like your vids…Thanks!
I have the gopro 8 and I have two different mics off Amazon. It’s called the Hama Notebook Volp mic
That was cool, thanks bro 👍.
🤜🏻🤛🏻
Great tutorial, thanks
Smooth operator…👌
Appreciate it
subbed. u have good energy brah:)
Appreciate that my dude!
Would a sprocket change help with this, making it easier? Would definitely trade top-speed for more low down torque!
Yes it definitely would! I thought about it, but wanted to keep more of an even balance since I like speed too haha
Great vid , thanks

You have to turn dwc off completely and you’re good!
@@CAN2YT I don’t have the DWC feature on my 2017 Supersport 939. Is there something that I should be doing instead of DWC?
DTC, Direct Traction Control
Top left of dash you have
DTC
ABS
Read your manual
Will try this on a ducati panigale v2 in 8 months :) Was gonna buy one a week ago, but lost my license while test drving it smh
soon... The 8 months have passed.... Enjoy getting back out riding....
@@EvolutioNSwe I know! :) Allready bought myself a V2. Can't wait!
Dude how do you lean so effortlessly on such high speeds. Please share some techniques and tutorial
Its called in french canne à sucre ( sugar stick) 😅
Every time I turn off my V2s wheelie control I get a check engine light lmfao
What is you TC/ABC settings i have 939
BELLA !!!
I might've missed it during the video but what location is this at?
College Station, TX

Tbh, you just need to give it more throttle. It takes a lot. Take your time
@@CAN2YT as in once I hit 5krpm just open it up all the way?
Yessir! And no need to pull up
@@CAN2YT will it pwheelie in second gear? no clutch
Just a little bit, not much
If you come across a CBR 600 does the SS stand a chance
I actually haven’t come across one! I imagine it’d be close, depending on weight of rider. Appears the cbr is slightly quicker though
I can’t ever get it into second with the front wheel off the ground still. Any tips
Quick shifter really helps
Electronic quickshifter and if you don't have that, master clutchless shifting first.
What rim tape is that??
I tried to paste it but looks like they’re sold out. Found them on eBay!

I deleted my instagram awhile back unfortunately :(
@@CAN2YT that's unfortunate. Anyways, I liked your bike as well as your presentation.
Good work.👍👍
Thank you very much!!!
Bruhhh smallest chicken strip I've ever seen lol
