the boss at castle ensis has me in shambles. the weapons you get from the rememberance is insane. it has like 5 different combo strings in total, it's L2 has a ranged mode AND an AOE mode and on top of all of that, it's a a light greatsword that you can dual wield that deals magic and fire damage this weapon is fucking god tier
The requirements for that weapon kind of turn me off from it. I’d love to use it cause I agree, it looks cool af, but I feel like once I respec to use it, my stats will only let me use such a limited amount of weapons
@@KBROWNZI’m using it on a dex/int build myself. I respecced for the minimum amount of required faith and it’s still putting in work. Keep in mind, this is more of a quality weapon by the looks of it, so the fact my 80 int mage is getting good damage off it still should tell you the investment might be worth it. At the end of the day though, I picked it up because it was fun, not optimal.

Try using sword of knight and flame with it they’re very similar but have different abilities and there’s also a talisman that increases damage with ashes that have stances which works with them both for a good % dmg increase that’s what I’m running atm
Ngl, having a blast so far! Rellana has been my favorite boss encounter so far, and learning her patterns were extremely satisfying to get down. Divine Beast Dancing Lion was such a spectacle to fight, man’s just kept spinning around like a Beyblade and always kept me on my toes! One of FromSoft’s best DLCs yet!!

In all fairness, he is using one of the most overpowered builds in the game. But yeah the way he learns boss patterns so quickly is genuinely impressive, but then again he does kinda play games for a living.
It blows my mind when people say stuff like this. I beat every boss first try except Messmer that took 5 attempts and Consort Radahn took around 15 attempts. Beat Radahn 3rd attempt on my Quality build the other day, first try on my Pyromancer two or three days ago.
So the current reception to the dlc by most accounts is -story telling art direction and music are great - some balancing issues and the dlc being basically endgame content - some main bosses needed cutscenes Honestly though I think the bar of expectation was so high since the base game was already a masterpiece that it's kinda hard to top that
My biggest complaint is just that a good chunk of the game feels plagued by time/money constraints. It feels like it like a lot of stuff just wasn't totally finished or fleshed out. Its still amazing and if the base game wasn't the 10/10 game that it is, we probably would only be talking about the performance issues that the DLC has.

The way Rellana made me fold I had to pull out not only the godskin duo talisman, not only put bleed on the backhand blades but also bust out the Malenia great rune and just tanked through all of her attack spamming with my own spamming...
Definitely gonna get immersed in this dlc. When Elden ring came out I pretty much disappeared for the first two weeks and someone called a wellness check on me.😂 I was lost in it. Since release I have played through 8 times and did everything you can do in the game. I love this game so much.

Rellana was my first rememberance boss and it took me 18 attempts. Tbh it would have taken me more but I got lucky cause her AI was a bit more passive than usual. I’m honestly worried I’ll have to use summons on the later bosses if she was that tough
Rellana was such an elegant fight, and easily one of my favorites ever I had the same reaction while getting juggled by that double moon into superslam wombo-combo for the first time
Man I love Fromsoft but they keep doing these massive enemies that make your camera go haywire. You don't even have the FOV for them and the burning furnace guy seems like a much more melee type enemy than even the fire giant, who also had this scale camera targeting issue. You can't tell what they're doing a lot of the time and the difficulty ends up being you getting hit because you can't see
Yeah when I walked in there and saw him I thought it would be a lazily designed fight, just some guy thrown there. Was very impressed with how fun it actually was to go back and forth with him lol
Those birds pissed me off last night because their combos are nearly endless. Then when it ends after all your stamina is gone, they ground pound you. I find it best to strike first as they walk towards you if possible. They have no poise.
I feel for you, but it really depends on the level as well as NG+, being on higher NG makes the bosses extremely tanky and hard hitting even if you have found some scadutree fragments. This is a fresh playthrough for him so it’s NG

I've found every main boss besides the last so far, still 3 aren't killed yet and those fuckers, wow.. They are tough, we talking always 2 shot with 1 shot grabs and a tough moveset.
I mean GRRM did all of the backstory including the DLC backstory and From just left stuff out that they knew they could use later. Shouldn't be surprising.
Final boss was by far the best in DLC tho NGL, Lore wise I'm still confused NGL but the fight itself was crazy, Moveset is actually INSANE, And the OST is perfection. Incredibly difficult tho, I legit died more to Consort Radahn than Malenia, At least 100 deaths lol
@@rohansahoo639 NGL he made me break my code of no summons after 100 deaths, I ended up using my Stormhawk Ash to buff my damage and eventually I was able to get him, Awesome fight overall, I think ALOT of people are gonna switch their tone about the fight in the next few days tbh
It’s so fun watching someone play this who doesn’t flip out when they die. I have never been good enough to play a Souls-Like game but I love watching them. The art style is just unmatched.
Dunno what you're talking about, the best defense is a good offense, poise break them and make your own breathing room. Using my lvl 150 paladin build and I haven't died more than 10 times to any one boss 10 hours in with lion and Rellana down.
First of all, "fist only" means no weapons, not fist weapons. Fist weapons can do good damage. Second, your character being 250 means very little. All relevant soft caps will have been hit long before that point. You aren't much stronger than a regular end-game character, and fragments/Ash matter more than rune level in the dlc. You're also playing on ng++ which means enemy damage/HP is way higher lol.
i watched the video just to see that bossfight and see what am i doing wrong since i have heard he took her down in 7 tries and i have been struggling for 5 hours. But i still dont get it, she deals three times less damage to him and his fists basic attack does more than my heavy weapon charged.
I wouldn’t call it amazing. People are way overhyping an overpriced dlc. If you compare map size, amount of bosses, new weapons, etc to the base game, this should cost more like $20, not fuckin $40. The Internet can be so bias.
It's Fromsoft slaves back at it again. Elden Ring had so many problems but "OH MY GOD IT'S THE BEST GAME EVER MADE!!!" and now this DLC is less than mediocre but "OMG BEST DLC EVER MADE!!!". This is how companies go corrupt. If Shadow Of The Erdtree is well received then Fromsoft will just continue making half-assed uninspired forgettable slop.
Star fists with cragblade is the easiest way to steamroll most bosses in the dlc. I've tried using a similar build. If anyone is having trouble with the dlc you know what to do.
yeah, I'm doing a carian knight cosplay for the DLC and so far the lion and renalla have been a nightmare. I do like 300 damage a hit, Charlie is hitting 1000+ and on top of that there are bleed procs and staggers. renalla and the lion both took me 8 minutes to kill each and rellana was like 50 attempts for me. my fault for not changing my build but after watching Charlie melt these bosses I might have to

Yeah I’m ng+7 and the damage was so minimal it was insane, I’m level 350 too with 80 faith and dex and 70 strength

It’s so fun watching someone play this who doesn’t flip out when they die. I have never been good enough to play a Souls-Like game but I love watching them. The art style is just unmatched.

Dunno what you're talking about, the best defense is a good offense, poise break them and make your own breathing room. Using my lvl 150 paladin build and I haven't died more than 10 times to any one boss 10 hours in with lion and Rellana down.

90% of Charlie's punch run fighting bosses is "Gimme your toes"
The fact that Charlie beat Rellana in 7 tries using fists only on a new character while it took me 40+ on my 250 char in NG++ is brutal to know…
First of all, "fist only" means no weapons, not fist weapons. Fist weapons can do good damage. Second, your character being 250 means very little. All relevant soft caps will have been hit long before that point. You aren't much stronger than a regular end-game character, and fragments/Ash matter more than rune level in the dlc. You're also playing on ng++ which means enemy damage/HP is way higher lol.
Star fist is a really high tier weapon tbh
i watched the video just to see that bossfight and see what am i doing wrong since i have heard he took her down in 7 tries and i have been struggling for 5 hours. But i still dont get it, she deals three times less damage to him and his fists basic attack does more than my heavy weapon charged.

I wouldn’t call it amazing. People are way overhyping an overpriced dlc. If you compare map size, amount of bosses, new weapons, etc to the base game, this should cost more like $20, not fuckin $40. The Internet can be so bias.
It's Fromsoft slaves back at it again. Elden Ring had so many problems but "OH MY GOD IT'S THE BEST GAME EVER MADE!!!" and now this DLC is less than mediocre but "OMG BEST DLC EVER MADE!!!".
This is how companies go corrupt. If Shadow Of The Erdtree is well received then Fromsoft will just continue making half-assed uninspired forgettable slop.

Star fists with cragblade is the easiest way to steamroll most bosses in the dlc. I've tried using a similar build. If anyone is having trouble with the dlc you know what to do.
yeah, I'm doing a carian knight cosplay for the DLC and so far the lion and renalla have been a nightmare. I do like 300 damage a hit, Charlie is hitting 1000+ and on top of that there are bleed procs and staggers.
renalla and the lion both took me 8 minutes to kill each and rellana was like 50 attempts for me. my fault for not changing my build but after watching Charlie melt these bosses I might have to

Expansion on this, before sending the teacher into space the original plan was to send Big Bird from sesame Street but they couldn't figure out the logistics of having the guy in the suit also have a space suit and how to accommodate big birds size. There is an alternate timeline where they overcame these issues and Big Bird died in the challenger disaster.
