This is a very valid question. I'm Jewish, and I have a few things to say about this. Like one of the commenters alluded to, the jewish community is diverse in terms of observance level and politics. The Jews associated with liberal democrats tend to be Reform and Conservative Jews (not to be confused with political conservatives). I would also include Reconstructionism and Renewal in that too. To understand the history of the liberal jewish community's relationship with the democratic party would take a few pages. I think jews started to become more affiliated with democrats with f.D.R even though he turned away Jews escaping the Holocaust. That's a whole other story. Additionally, Starting in the 60s and 70s, the conservative and reform movements became increasingly infused with progressive ideology. Everybody knows about rabbi joshua heschel involvement in the civil rights movement. But as the left went more leftnover the past 10 years, so did the liberal Jews. Also ibfeel like there has been more emphasis on social Justice/ TikkunOlam in these movements . I'm not totally sure what caused this, however, since these movements are more susceptible to outside influences--i.e. individuals get educated in our secular institutions that have gone more to the left, is possible this trickles down to the jewish community. I also think increasing emphasis on the social Justice was attempted by these movements to keep themselves relevant to jews since most of these jews are not as committed as orthodox to participating in religious observance . Since the majority of Jews in this country fall within liberal Judaism movements, they tend to vote Democrat. There is a smaller group of orthodox Jews who are more traditional in their outlook and observance. And less squeamish about their attachment to Israel Because it is a much more important part of their identity. They don't have as much problem with being traditional or particularistic. Whereas liberal Jews that embrace a more universalistic outlook are attracted to the Democratic Party's ideology. Consequently, I believe these Jews will increatingley decrease their attachment to Israel. Because it flies in the face of their universalistic progressive ideology.I don't think a lot of these Jews that supported Black Lives Matter realized they were going against their own interests. Also, don't think they truly understood the degree to which the left has been taken over by marxism and c.R.T-- Although a major caveat is that there wwre and are a fair number of jews promoting these ideas. Thats another story. Another thing I will say as to why these jews not voting in their interest. It's because they listen to media sources that don't give them the full picture. I have family members who are having a fundraiser for President Biden. I kid you not. I assume their primary new sources are NPR CNN and MSNBC. I used to listen to these sources as well. But then after COVID I started seeking out independent media sources. If you don't listen to these types of sources, you will be continuously fed falsehoods and propaganda, which is why these people In the Jewish. Community are so ignorant. Unfortunately, if you try to disavow them of these views, they will call you a conspiracy theorist listening Alt right MAGA media. They were manipulated into a form of psychosis that manifests as Trump Disphoria Syndrome. But because they are so called educated in elite institutions they will scoff at the idea that theyve been played. Am i being too harsh on my own people? I dont think so.

The Jews you're describing are not very Jewish. If we look at the actual religion and culture, not the race or whatever, it's totally the opposite. Generally you'll find a pretty straightforward correlation between Jewishness and conservatism. The ultra Orthodox go pretty exclusively right-wing these days. There are other factors involved and changing through time. For example, there used to be much more conservative democrats before the party was hijacked by the crazy leftists. The Jews you're describing are not very Jewish. If we look at the actual religion and culture, not the race or whatever, it's totally the opposite. Generally you'll find a pretty straightforward correlation between Jewishness and conservatism. The ultra Orthodox go pretty exclusively right-wing these days. There are other factors involved and changing through time. For example, there used to be much more conservative democrats before the party was hijacked by the crazy leftists. And poor religious Jews were also susceptible to the temptations of the left's welfare handouts. And the modern Orthodox may have once trusted the democrats more on their support for Israel. Nowadays the consensus is clearly the opposite on those issues For that and many other reasons the more "Jewish" Jews are virtually all supporting Trump. It seems you're looking at the Jews that just say they're Jewish without practicing Judaism or having Jewish values.Those are super liberal bleeding-heart true-believers and that's not incidental. That says less about the Jews and more about how toxic is the liberal virus. It's basically the reason why these "Jews" reject actual Judaism.
