Though therapy helps but u find no peace.....The only happiness u get is when u meet those u served with...n the happiness disappears when you go ur separate ways ....N I bet this is true for those who served in Nam....It hurts to see some are homeless and knowing to well they will die a miserable death without closure..... idk why but i keep coming back to this video, it just captures a certain feeling so well
    edit:
i think it's because it captures the conflicted feelings i have when seeing the weapons, vehicles and technology used for war. something about it is so incredible, so awesome, a testament to human ingenuity. but the purpose for it is so terrible, the destruction of lives, families, homes and countries. but at the same time i cannot look away. it is so terrible, but also so beautiful. much like this song being paired with this footage. thank you for the video

I have a lot of sympathy for the veterans of America, but I think the veterans of the Vietnam war are the ones that should have been the most respected. They went to a war unlike anything the american military had experienced before, jungles full of living and moving shapes, guerrilla soilders taking out their brothers and friends, getting captured and tortured to the bone with no remorse from the enemy, getting rescued by their friends only to see them sacrifice themselves to help you on the chopper, and looking back to see them get gunned down by the enemy. That war scared the veterans of that horrifying conflict, and the thanks they got was flip offs and hippies calling them "Baby Killers". I can't think of any other war that can be more terrifying, emotional, and scaring than the Vietnam War. I hope that one day, everyone on social media can come together, and appreciate those who fought for what they believed in instead of being hypocritical and narcissistic to eachother.

You should see the Korean War, they're usually ignored and the war destroyed the entire peninsula for what many thought accomplished little and had a higher death toll all around. MacArthur threw hundreds of thousands into a meat grinder and nearly lost the war and, for the most part, the public actually supported him and ignored the people he threw away in his blunders.

Did you ever here of the Pacific campaign during WW2? What about the campaing in Burma during the same war?
The only real problem was US civilian politicians trying to dictate how the war was to be fought against an enemy that didn't "play by the rules". Even then, the US still won, with North Vietnam only able to take Saigon after renegging on the Paris Peace Accords.

When South Vietnam's President Nguyen Van Thieu objected to the terms, Nixon threatened to depose him like Ngo Dinh Diem.[112] In January 1973, the U.S. signed the agreement as the Paris Peace Accords. The main effect of the accord was to usher the United States out of the war.[113] Journalist Bob Woodward later wrote that Richard Nixon thought, prior to Operation Linebacker II, that previous bombing campaigns against North Vietnam had achieved "zilch". Woodward wrote that in early 1972 Nixon wrote a note to National Security Adviser Henry Kissinger, which said there was "something wrong" with the way the strategy was being carried out. Other notes, written at the same time, show that Nixon was frustrated with the resistance of the North Vietnamese and wanted to punish them, in an effort to "go for broke".[114] John Negroponte, in the 2017 documentary The Vietnam War, was disdainful of the attack's value, stating "[w]e bombed them into accepting our concessions

I am therefore in solidarity with Israel, the real victim of the real settlers, and when I saw New Yorkers supporting Palestine, America deeply disappointed me.
      Now I hate America.
Vietnam, Choisin, Kasserin-pass, and September 11 were deserved.

The Americans SQUASHED those rice farmers in 1968. Then they SQUASHED their commie brothers from the North in 1972. The Commie Capital didn't fare much better in December of 1972. That's WHY the North raised their hands in surrender and FINALLY signed the Paris Peace Accords in early 1973. South Vietnam FELL in1975 because the Communists (Democrats) in the American Congress aided and abetted their fellow Communists in the North to takeover the South and kill MILLIONS of South Vietnamese.

@@robertjanulik285 If you have never lived in communism, you should not speak. and if you are living in a communist regime you will not be able to speak. You don't know anything about the Vietnam War. you say America invaded but we lost nothing, and look what the communists took from us? we were robbed of our territory, people's lives in the massacres and stupid policies of communism, most of all, we lost our freedom to suffer from stupid people as leaders and watch them. they corrupt the country, they like to do whatever crime they want but all will be hidden. you want opinions, you want to protest and fight for the people's rights?=> I'm sure you will go to jail and maybe beat to death and then they say you committed suicide in prison. it's funny when you say such stupid things maybe you are communist soldiers getting paid to do this... i'm not kidding, i'm really serious about that possibility!
