Ive also seen orange peel fantasy map making. Lol basically peel an orange over the page and let the pieces fall wherever, then after you eat the orange, trace the peels.
Me and my friends did this when we had to make up our own nation in class, except we tore up paper instead of rice and used the random shapes as islands (it's just a single scrap of paper, not a pile of little bits lol)
This is cool!! I like it, is the spin the use of rice, I know she mentioned some used lentils. Is her spin on this rice or the way she colored or designed her map? Just curious to know what was most used too. Thank you if anyone can answer this❤️
I tried this months ago, the idea just came to me. I didnt realize it was a thing going around the internet. Either way... i hated this art project.... my maps always looked horrible at the end
Perfect nostalgic Zelda music to go with the fantasy map tutorial!
You help me getting rid of my fear for watercolors and blank pages! Thank you so much! ❤
I had a long time with no art, blank page syndrome, so I used a DVD to draw circles and filled in the spaces, it’s worth a try
@@travcat66 Thank you so much. It already helps if you know you are not alone. 🌷

Hey! I post to Instagram and TikTok about every other day. I got overwhelmed with so many platforms, but I'll try to be more consistent here.

This is a great activity.
Thanks!!
I love your bright colors but struggle to find bright pallets- any recommendations??
What watercolors do you use? They are always so vibrant!
I get bemused as to why you always mix pink and orange 🍊
Its my issue with these two colours
The second one is what i see when i look into the sky 🤣💀

Most people draw in mountains or bridges or mappish things. I watercolored it. That's all.
I tried this months ago, the idea just came to me. I didnt realize it was a thing going around the internet.
Either way... i hated this art project.... my maps always looked horrible at the end
This is not new. This is how some gamers make DND maps.
She never said it was new. But it is new to some people.
People make entire fake old maps like that.
Yeah, no. I tried it. Didn't like it.
I want to try this. Thank you!
Great idea. What are the watercolors you use? @andrea-nelson-art
