What about Navient? I gave them all they asked for when requesting a deferment. After dragging their butt, they said it was expired, defaulted my loan, and collected from the fed.
When I first started paying last year, they send my payment back and said my bank kicked it back and i had funds in my account, and i setup for payment to come out automatically with the same bank account and they reported in January of this year late payment and a payment was scheduled to come. I've called mohela to let them know that I'm on social security and how do I go about this with my student loan.... (Older student loan) The last lady I spoke to for quite a while She was biggest wacko bullying me and mocking me and putting me down, telling me go get a job, The thing is I'm on social security and yes I do have a disability but she was laughing and laughing and laughing as she bullied me, So then I had to hang up I've done nothing with moving forward with communicating because I cannot get anybody on the phone that is in there right mind, They do not answer there's got to be a way somebody to complain to,••• This is horrible..... Ridiculous.
Please get rid of Mohela, they not counting PSLF right. I had to have my job sign the form 3 times in one year and Mohela finaled to add the amount my job pays to be counted with my monthly payments to lower the amount owing. I got a question why is interest is being applied to the amount owing balance during me paying my student loans and I think then going to school every cent spring of this year and fall of this year and they put my loan in the deferment and going to be applying interests to meet as crazy
NEWSFLASH! If i sign my name to a loan promise, it's MY responsibility to pay it back! I'm surprised Warren doesn't bring up that! Edit: Warren thinks it's a Taxpayers responsibility to pay for other people's kids' college debt when their own kids couldn't attend because they couldn't afford it.
The Undersecretary of Education confirmed recently that the student loan racket has garnered such huge profits for the department AND for Wall Street that forgiveness is already paid for - unless our government is run by crooks.
Just to let you know people who do have a student loan l make payments it's the interest that makes it very difficult and many have an account that has ballooned due to the interes over several yrs.. Another factor is the inflation that has made everything even more changeling. If you had a student loan you would see what is really going on.
