This is exactly what a collab should be. Why aren’t we talking more about this?? Isn’t this what we have wanted ?? What do I mean?? DETAILS! From the netting, to the tongues, outsole, insoles etc. these are the things that exemplifies a great collaboration. I love the details on these because you can tell it’s an AJ5, but at the same time a collaboration! She’s been killing the collab game imo. I have the white 12’s (under retail) and absolutely love them! I’m aiming for these

I have the white 12s (and black ones a 10/10 shoe btw) and have excessive bleeding aka color migration on them. It’s really easy to spot, too, unfortunately 🫤
AMM does need to sort out their QC. Seems like it took a dip for a while there. Their 3s , 1s and 2s didn't hear as much about in terms of QC issues or at least i didn't. But their AJ4s and both pairs of their 12s had quite a bit of QC complaints. Including my personal pairs , my 4s were really bad. Thats just inexcusable for premium collabs charging premium prices. I hope their 5s are much better with QC and stays that way for their future sneaker collaborations.
James Whitner (one of the main guys who owns AMM) is connected to federal charges now so it’s interesting to see perspective changes on these in real time 😂😂😂
Nobody reviewing these has mentioned the extra lace loop , its like they don’t lift the lace lock cause they aren’t planning to wear. Appreciate the attention to details!!

blows my mind that all these years everyone tries to keep their soles/material from yellowing but we are hyped for a shoe that is coming out piss yellow from the factory

Pro tip…If you look close…the inner fabric of the shoe is tightly printed/stitched, “A’s” too. 😉👍🏻

AMM never disappoints, can’t wait to get my pair. And I agree, this Dawn color way is my favorite from the two, but not to far off from the Dusk. I hope I get luck on those and will have to look for a burgundy color lace to go with it. Great review!

I hit on the general release for these last Friday, I am so excited to get them in hand and add them to the collection with my dark concord 5's and Crimson Bliss 5's. Definitely collaboration of the year.

The Air Jordan 5 was actually my first and only pair of Jordans my parents bought for me as a kid, so the silhouette has a special place in my heart.
Between the Dusk and Dawn, this is probably my favorite of the two as well, just because this color way is different from most of AAM's Jordan collabs, and I prefer a light upper.
I did think the upper was white rather than grey from pictures, so I appreciate you clearing that up.

Imo this is shoe of the year, these look way better than the Jordan 5 Dusk. A Ma Maniere knocked this collab out the park, both shoes look GREAT, which is a first for me considering that I never cared for any of their collabs until now.

Do these fit the same as other 5’s? The Fire Red 5’s for example was too tight around the forefoot.
I love both pairs releasing, but I instantly fell in love with this dawn colorway. While I've always enjoyed the classiness of that trademark burgundy/mauve color language that AMM is known for, the hints of blue in this one really speak to me.

These are really nice but since ive got the fire red 2020 ill be trying to get the black amm 5 instead.
As far as I know, Dusk model is only available through raffles and AMM, not available in the SNKRS app.
I was really looking forward to these! But I assumed from the early photos that these had smooth leather, and obviously they are actually nubuck... which is nice but I'm worried they might get ruined quite quickly. I'll probably look for a 2020 Fire Red pair instead and then I won't have to worry about babying them. Thanks for review though guys!

First time I hit on a drawing at AMM. I’m wide footer and went true to size (11.5W/10M). Can’t wait to rock these.

@@Paco1994k the Dawn is a snug fit but I usually lace all my AJ5s a bit loose. They’re snug but not unbearable. If I decide to double up I might go up half a size. Too much heat dropping these days.

AMM has done well with most of their Nike / Jordan collabs. Though their AJ3s stand head and shoulders above the rest so far imo. AMM does well again here ; especially the details, tweaks and branding. I do like the more streamlined AJ5 silhouette AMM went with as a nice change from most of the GR AJ5s we get. Just something about both colorways i am still torn about. I do prefer this / the Dawn pair over the black (but i do like both tbh). Might be the degree of aging / yellowing effect as not a huge fan of the aged aesthetic. I like both colorways and think AMM did a good job but something just holding me back on both.

I didn’t really care for either but after all the legal troubles with AAM, I copped a W 12 on SNKRS just to see what happens to the value of them in the future.

These are better from a sneakerhead perspective imo. The fact the they made the 23 & heel logo stand out on this pair makes these preferred for me over the Dusk pair. Dusk pair might be more limited so the resellers prefer those for profit.
I’m not too big on AMas but I’m aiming for both. My Dawn pair shipped out yesterday. Dusks close to $800 range in my size…crazy, but that’ll drop on release
I’m on the fence with these. With that said, I may still try to get these as I’m a J5 fan. I’m liking the dawn colour better than the dusk. The dawn colours shows what you paid for 😂

Did anyone else order half a size down? How snug are they supposed to be? They're tight around where the stitching at the bottom of the tongue is and my pinky toe but I'm assuming you have to put in some time to break in the nubuck?

Imho DJ khaled J5 last year is more premium specially the inner lining was quilted. Though i Love Ama did on J4
I love my pair - and I did notice those little things - no contrasting laces, no special aglets, no key chain - which sounds silly, but when you get that for every release, you miss it when it’s not there.
I did also appreciate the leather eye stays (but had no that’s what they were called!), the little pop of white satin on the base of the tongue, and the non-quilted liner material.
Is there any suede on this shoe? Because AMM’s site says it’s suede, but I’m not seeing it - unless it’s the toe & collar?
Looking forward to the dusks - I hope that the recent TWG news won’t impact the release (or the people who are employed at his stores).
