The crash is starting slowly, with many smaller parts coming down, the size of the bits falling is increasing and finally ends up in a big burst, like an explosion
I waited 2 minutes for the final boom and you CUT the video right when it falls?!?! WTF Who would do that?!?!!
Literally unwatchable /s
Well, he couldve drowned in the wave that came and had the footage not realeased. He left for his safety.
a person getting his little boat out of the way of a tsunami. thats who.

To actually be there at the exact time must have been a tremendous feeling, the noise on the video was loud, it must have been incredible to actually hear it from the cameraman's position. Fabulous,
They ones who did it that’s why they was able to witness it

Or fell over. Looks like they were in a boat!

Amazing footage but the added sound effects at 2:08 are a shame, the real sounds are much more satisfying.
So lame!!
What a strange thing to overlay on an otherwise spectacular capture of nature.

The right side of the glacier looks like a face.
Yes like a lions face
It does.

Even the left side head of kingkong...

@bad decision making Rob Low Sport Liar. The iceberg melted because Trump didn't pass a carbon tax (which gives me free money and saves the world)
Dictator Trump. Nazi. He hates black women.
This is a joke btw lol
bad decision making Rob Low Sport lmao its getting worse because of more carbon dioxide that we put in the environment. We get that it’s been happening for years, but it’s getting worse now. WE DON'T NEED A COMMENTARY SIT DOWN......
Of course you had to cut the Video right when the whole damn thing collapses.
no, it ends there because we did not feel safe anymore and turned arround the boat away from the iceberg...no time for filming then with only 2 people onboard... so we left something for your fantasy ;)
dean nelson Hey! Come on! Lay off the dude, man! What if you'd been in his shoes? Wouldn't you have moved? Not to be mean or anything, but I'd be willing to bet that if it'd been you, you'd of done the same thing:you'd of moved! I agree that they should have set up at a safer distance, but ya ain't gotta go cussing and ranting at the man. We all make mistakes! Be a little kinder in your comments. After all, again, what if it'd been you? Wouldn't you have moved? Yeah...you would've. So would I!
No that is as flat-out idiotic! If you don't have the functional ability to take a look at your present environment and realize there might be a danger of an obviously collapsing Iceberg and move to a safe distance before it actually collapses you just stupid! So I having been feeling safe enough to start this video filming where he did I wouldn't have moved because I would have already factored in the damn things about to collapse. It's sort of like filming a tsunami I'm not going to film it from freaking sea level I'll start filming it from wherever it is I feel safe and so if I was shooting this video I would clearly be at a distance that I felt safe at so once again I would not have moved.
dean nelson I said it before, cand I'll say it again:I agree with you on the point that they should have been at a safer distance, in case something like this happens. All I'm asking is that you not curse the guys for being too close. We all make mistakes, right?
Lol.. deans triggered.. but I feel him in a way..
It's like getting head from a chick and she stops right when she's close to making you burst...
Thank you pfor posting the full video
Amazing! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome. Sorry you had to not film the big crash, just to save your life :D. I actually found the smaller drops just as awesome and moving as the big ones.
Thank you for not zooming and just keeping the camera steady, letting us see a wonderful event.

Great capture. Thanks for sharing this. Finally a video with decent sound no people cheering. Interesting that we hear the loud crack at 1:52 just before we see it. It should be the other way around unless it cracks inside a few seconds before it falls.
Thanks for the comment, yes indeed, something cracked inside, then it slowly started to fall
I agree .. I can't stand being on boats or tours with loud, cheering idiots - and screaming women yelling, "Oh maaaa Gard, oh maaa Gard". I look at the way they behave and feel sick. Why can't they appreciate the majesty of nature in silence? They have no idea how some of us feel ... we paid the same amount of money to witness the same things, but when I booked our tickets I had a different, much more silent picture of how the experience would unfold for us. And it happened again just last week whilst whale watching Humpbacks .... I could have put a fist through one screaming woman's nose ... she just didn't have a filter or know when to stop! For 4 and a half hours she just went on and on at the top of her voice - but at hour 4 I suddenly remembered that I had nice squishy ear plugs in my handbag from the moto drag races the weekend before .. I didn't take my eyes off her as she watch me open the package and fit them in my ears, LOL. But she STILL just kept on going!! : ( I just like quiet beauty ... just like this. Thanks so much for sharing. I'm going to watch it again, and again. And AGAIN. In perfect silence!! XX
@@pmac1951
Exactly, P. McG! Do they think we didn't just witness the same majesty of nature they just did? Only WE didn't hear it, because THEY won't shut up! "O my gard - did you see that? Did you SEE that?" Well unless I'm tappiing around with a cane and black glasses because I'm a blind person... OF COURSE I DID!
It almost (and I reiterate the word, "ALMOST") am grateful for CoVid because whale-watching tours are cancelled for this year - because I go every yesr. And every year our cruise is ruined by someone just like this. No brain, and absolutely no filteri LOVRD this video!
Thank you so much for your kind comment - a gasp is all that's required. XX Bless you!
Yeah, really, great capture... listening to camera clicking for two minutes, waiting for the key moment only to figure out it was cut out???
That was the camel's back you heard.
Ahhhhh! The anxiousness of waiting for the next big piece or the whole thing to fall!
Ahhh, waiting for the big climax. WTF ?
👍 good recording love❤ to hear the sound

Is this Eqi Glacier near Ilulissat? How you caught this? You joined a boat tour?
the added sfx were an interesting touch.
You get to the finale...and drop the camera...great job.
it's extraordinary to know how the crashing iceberg is .
Завораживающе!!! Какая сила и мощь! Как постепенно меняются очертания и образы, супер!!!
Nice!
Very, very spectacular right near the end, when that whole Arc between the 2 icebergs gives way, and collapses into the water! When that happened, though, did you really have to panic, and end up moving around so much? Were you afraid that you might encounter an ice tsunami? Just curious. If that was the case, I understand that you didn't want to be hurt or whatever. Still, besides all that, great video!
This reminds me of my marriage, crumbling and falling apart!

Something about these videos makes me feel sad. I think of a time in future when people will look back at these and feel sad for all that we have lost.
This has been happening for thousands if not millions of years
Lmao seriously, people are so dumb when they’re Liberal.
@@timpike1616 perhaps, but what we do know is that now it is moving into an irreversible direction, and that nature the way our ancestors have known it for thousands of years will no longer be there, whether it's global warming or just destruction of natural resources and the habitat. That is not something ambiguous or a feeling, that is basic fact.
It's frozen water melting in the sun. It's been happening for thousands of years. Get over it already. The world isn't ending.
@@svcodemonkey the world is not ending, no, but your world and my world is ending, some of us see it, some of us don't. I envy and loathe those who don't.
My best friend, Wonderful upload! Keep it up! +thumb up3!
I could the photographer's excitement when the splashes created that little rainbow in there
I can only imagine the sheer amount of force behind the unseen pushing and pulling that eventually wrenched the arch in half.

I imagine this is sombering as a nature photographer. Your job stems from a love of nature, and the glaciers melting is obviously a problem - and one photographers see first hand more than we do. You're almost hoping for it to collapse for a good shot, but it's sad to know what it means in the long run
