I love your ideas. A couple of curious questions,, though:
To propagate, why cut ALL of the leaves away from the original root, instead of leaving one attached?
Also, why are you using both soil and water here? Why not plant them all in the same medium?

They all should and can grow new roots with water/soil . I used honey and cinnamon as a rooting hormone. It had worked for me a few times. Two did die when I planted them but I cut the bad part off and letting them air dry to callous over and I will try in water as I was successful that way ! Good luck to you !
