Four Cinereous Vultures getting familiar with their temporary home

On 21st May, Europe’s Natura 2000 Day, the Douro Internacional Natural Park in Portugal inaugurated an acclimatisation aviary for Cinereous Vultures, an endangered species in the country, as part of the LIFE Aegypius Return project. Four juvenile Cinereous Vultures are already acclimatising and will be released in the autumn. The aviary for the soft release of Cinereous Vultures aims to strengthen the fragile Douro Internacional's breeding colony.
